LG DLG2524W gas dryer with check filter light on. Dryer will work but no heat. Totally vacuumed filter and filter area out. Opened cap on bottom side of dryer and vacuumed that out but still same thing....

It sounds like the high limit switch has tripped. You will need to disassemble the dryer to get to the switch to reset it. LG recommends replacing the high limit switch.

Dryer is not heating. Happened after exhaust vent was plugged. Is there a reset or thermistor that tripped?

There is a manual reset on one of the thermistats on a gas LG dryer. It is on the front left side of the heating element. There are two wires attached to the dime sized thermostat, and there is a small black pin in between the wires. Push the pin in to reset it. To get at it, you have to take the top off, then the control panel, then the front panel.

Cold air during running checked power and gas still no heat

Gas models have a resetable high limit thermostat. It is a dime sized disc with two wires attatched located near the front side of the gas combustion chamber. There is a pin in the center of it which needs to be pushed in to reset it. It trips when dryer has poor vent conditions. (long and / or restricted air flow in vent)

Lg dlg2524w runs and tries to heat but doesn't

Our electric did the same thing...techie guy said it was working fine, suggested I clear the dryer lint vent pipe which I tried but it was destroyed so I had to rebuild the whole line which took a day of messing around with the wall behind the unit, the ceiling exit hole and in the attic some. But Man!! it works great now!! All that heat and moist air has to go somewhere away from the machine, or it just goes back into your clothes. Super important. Good luck!

1. Open dryer door and remove the phillips head screws at the 5 and 7 O'Clock positions. 2. Remove three screws at very back, allowing top cover to be moved back about an inch and lifted off. 3. remove screw at top left and top right from front top panel. 4. pull plastic front panel along top edge to release front top panel. (watch for sharp edges) 5. Swing top up and over onto top of dryer. 6. Unplug light and door switch. 7. remove four screws at top of large lower panel. 8. lift panel up a bit and off. 9. unplug sensor plug at bottom allowing panel with door to be set aside. 10. gas dryer has dime sized high limit thermostat on left front side of burner chamber. Has two wires on it, with a small pin in the center. Push the pin in. Reassemble and clean out vent, eliminating flexible venting, replacing with rigid aluminum piping and elbows. Outside vent should have a four inch vent flap opening, not just a two inch if it is that style.

Front load gas dryer lg model dlg 5988w does not heat

This can obviously be several things, but I would first check the small safety thermostat. On the gas models, there is a small pin sticking out of it which can be pushed back in to reset it. It is located on the heater housing and is only about the size of a dime, with two wires on it. This will trip out easily if your vent was not clean, or is long or restricted in some ways (like using flex ducting)
If you need more help getting to it, let me know and I'll give you more instructions.

Your ignitor (glow bar) got broken during the move. They are more fragile than your grandmother's fine china
