I think my dryer belt is broken. It is a stackable washer/dryer. How can I repair it?

At the back of some laundry centers there is a small square panel where the motor is located. Remove panel to access the motor and belt tensioner. You will have to pull the unit out to do this.

Squeaky drum

This is going to be the idler pulley, Belt or the rear bearing. To check the belt and idler pulley remove the small inspection cover on the back you will seeit there turn on dryer and see if that is it. If not you will need to disassemble to get to the rear bearing. There are videos on replacing the belt and idler pulley at www.appliancehelponline.com/servicemanual.html and also you can enter your model # for a diagram.

Stackable dryer makes thumping noises -think its a broken belt

9 out of 10 times this is due to a bad roller. This is not something you can do yourself. A stack model is just too complicated.

Whirlpool stackable dryer was working and stopped. Sounds like it's getting power when the button is pushed - Won't start/spin. The belt has been screeching for some time. Assume the belt has snapped or...

stacks vary, you may be able to access between washer and dryer... there is usually a panel there, but some do have the large acces panel in the back and yes you can access the belt... watch your fingers aroound the motor because when you put a new one on, the tension is very tight

Asko stackable dryer/Bosch stackable washer compatability

If you arer going to replace the washer with a Bosch Axxis model, it will simply plug into the back of the dryer (if it is electric) because normally the dryers are 220 VAC. Works A-OK.
