Question about Goodman GMS90703BXA Heater
I have a 12 yr old Goodman oil furnace that wont stay on. I just replaced the ingnitor and wondering if it needs some type of adjustment. It was operating fine, however until we got oil and my wife decided to run the unit, so I am wondering if sentiment got into the nozzle. The nozzle is new, however I had that replaced by a tech. Is there a guide to show how to access the nozzle to find out if it is dirty.
Understanding it's dangerous I did push the reset several times jamming more oil into the system. The furnace will operate all day, however will not start again automatically once it has cooled down overnight, because we also heat with wood and allow the therm to drop to 60 and generally speaking the wood stove will keep the temp above 60.
Have you checked to see if oil is coming out of nozzle? you should be able to put a flash light in the axcess hole. Is there sparks going acrosas electroides? Has furnace filters and oil filter been chanded, and furnace been cleaned?
