I was playing a game on my Samsung 50" DLP and the picture cut out and I saw all three lights cut on. I turned it off, it turned back on by itself. Now I have to unplug it to keep it off. It will constantly turn on and off and the bulbs won't turn on. I tried checking the bulb but it is fine. Can any oune help, it is only a year old

Re: Tv won't turn on
My suggestion is that you call a repair shop...anyone you ask on here is going to give you a different opinion about what you need to do to fix the tv or what they think it may be rather than have a knowledgeable answer.i know this is not what you want to hear but i am only trying to be honest with you about how some of this works on here. you will get a lot of people telling you to change this check that or you need a new board etc.it would make your life simpler to call a repairman and have it fixed and know its fixed right

Do you have three flashing lights on the front? You most likely have a problem with your lamp or color wheel. Those two component combined are pretty much the guts of your TV. If you are handy, you can replace those parts yourself. I have a 50" Samsung DLP and I've already replaced those to items myself. Otherwise, you can contact Samsung at 1-800-SAMSUNG and they can assist.
I bought my parts using Amazon, had them shipped to me, and took an afternoon to take about the back of the TV; documenting everything and taking photos of the progress, until it was done. There may be video tutorials on Youtube. There was for my model (HLS5086). Here is a great link to help you along. Good luck. http://blog.trebacz.com/2011/01/50-samsung-dlp-hl-p5063w-with-3.html
Lamp could still be going out they only last for 5,000 hrs some 8,000 playing hours.
Check the Lamp Fan if it stops running when Lamp turns on set will turn OFF.
But if you have never replaced Lamp Problem will be the Lamp Mats Has them for $99.00
I had the same problem. I bought my tv at Best Buy and my warranty included a new bulb for the lamp. They only last about 2 yrs or so depending on how much you watch the tv. You can also buy replacement bulbs online that don't cost too much. BUT, you will need to replace every couple of years. The things you listed are exactly what happens when the bulb goes out. Hope this helps!
U have a solid green light from the LED power light indicator right?U have this DLP tv for awhile like two or three years, and use it alots right?Never change the lamp and the ballast right?Change the lamp and the ballast should solved ur problems.
All you can do is get it repaired or replace. Take the receipt (if you still have it) to the retailer you bought it from and ask about it. Alternative, phone Samsung (number is probably in the instruction manual that came with the TV, or look on their website) and ask if they can do anything about it.
