unfortunately it sounds like you have a broken tooth on the drive or driven gear of the ice maker, in this case you should replace the ice maker. The good news is that you can get a new one for about 85 bucks at your local appliance parts store.

Thanks for using FixYa. Check to see whether the ice maker has been turned off. Here's how to check. Look for a wire along the right side of the ice maker that looks a bit like a coat hanger. If this wire is in the raised position, the ice maker is turned off. On some units you simply lower the wire to the down position to turn the ice maker on. On others, you lower a small red plastic lever to lower the wire. If the wire is in the proper position check the freezer temperature, it should be between 0-8 degrees Fahrenheit. If it is warmer than 10-12 degrees, the ice maker may not produce any ice. Check your door seals and thermostat, repair/replace as necessary. Also, check the water line attached to the back of the refrigerator for good water flow. To do that, first turn off the water supply valve. Then remove the water line from the back of the refrigerator. Next, place the water line into a bucket and momentarily turn the water valve back on to test the flow. If the flow is poor, you need to repair, clean, or replace the tubing or the shut-off valve that supplies the water. If the flow is good, you may have to replace the water inlet valve.
If still the issue is not resolved then remove the ice bin and wires from the auger motor. With the freezer door open and the door switch depressed, push the ice cube release and check for 120VAC between the motor wires. If there is 120VAC then the motor has gone bad. If there is no 120VAC then the control board (module time delay) has to be replaced.
You would need to unsnap (use a flathead screwdriver in the 2 little slots underneath the bottom frame piece to unsnap it) the front dispenser frame. Then look at support bracket to see if the little plastic pins are not broken that hold ice and water dispenser switches in place.
If that looks ok, then you would need to use an ohm meter to test continuity in ice dispenser switch. Replace whichever is required.
Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Yes, this is a "known" issue with the Samsung's refrigerators. You need to order a new icemaker. The icemaker will come with a brand new control board with new firmware. Replace both of them and this will fix problem. The control board should be located at the back of refrigerator under back panel

Testimonial: "Your answer was partly correct. I did have to replace the ice-maker but not the board. It was a simple pull the old one out and insert the new one"
