Gas dryer suddenly won't heat

I have a Kenmore dryer, model #11072802101 that will not ignite. I was told that there was a glowplug or something to that matter, I am not sure. I need to know how to locate this item. I seem to have only to the rear of thie dryer, does this sound correct?

My Kenmore 80 Series gas dryer will run fine but with no heat. Or it will start out working fine but go cold mid cycle. Is there a thermostat? What are your thoughts?

There is an igniter that should create a spark. Can you see a spark at the pilot light area? Your orifices could be clogged or dirty. Check to see if the valves and burner area are free from debris.

Since it is gas, you need to find out if the ignitor is coming on to ignite the gas (if you have gas getting to the burners). If you have gas, but the ignitor is not coming on, then you have to determine if the electronic contol is sending a signal for the ignitor to ignite. The most likely cause is the ignitor

Hi,
If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

Can you show me where the thermal fuse goes for model #11072802101

That would be on the back of the dryer, inserted into the exhaust duct. This is usually within a foot up from the bottom. You will need to remove a couple of sheet screws to remove.

Have a kenmore gas dryer, model # 11072802101, that will not heat at all. have already changed the thermal fuse with no change.

The 'operating' thermostat and the high temp limit thermostat could be bad. There is also a contact on the motor in the element circuit. The two therm. mentioned should read '0' ohms with a meter. (with machine unplugged.)

Kenmore 74812 Gas Dryer. Was told it ignites,

The coils are not so that it will leak when they are removed. Two screws release the bracket on top of them and they slip right off.

No Heat

Hi, I worked on one of these yesterday and have found that the thermal fuse blows first. If your dryer has the lint filter on top then the thermal fuse is behind the back panel and is located on the same duct as the lint filter. It will usually have blue wires on it instead of black or red.
