I have a Kenmore dryer, model #11072802101 that will not ignite. I was told that there was a glowplug or something to that matter, I am not sure. I need to know how to locate this item. I seem to have only to the rear of thie dryer, does this sound correct?

Since it is gas, you need to find out if the ignitor is coming on to ignite the gas (if you have gas getting to the burners). If you have gas, but the ignitor is not coming on, then you have to determine if the electronic contol is sending a signal for the ignitor to ignite. The most likely cause is the ignitor
The 'operating' thermostat and the high temp limit thermostat could be bad. There is also a contact on the motor in the element circuit. The two therm. mentioned should read '0' ohms with a meter. (with machine unplugged.)
Hi, I worked on one of these yesterday and have found that the thermal fuse blows first. If your dryer has the lint filter on top then the thermal fuse is behind the back panel and is located on the same duct as the lint filter.It will usually have blue wires on it instead of black or red.
i have a kenmore dryer the outside air vnet was cloged real bad , ive since cleaned it out but the only resone i found out was becoues my dryer will not heat up , is there a over heat swich ? can any one help .
