SOURCE: delta bs100 bandsaw manual
I just downloaded that manual for free from the Delta Tools website. Just go there (www.deltaportercable.com), go to service/support, click the button/area to get a manual online, click the "Search for your owners manual now" part at the bottom of the page, when the Service Net page opens, enter your model # (BS100) under the "Need a Manual?" section at the bottom of the page and click "go". When the search function displays the single result, click on the underlined words "Instruction Manuals" in the "Manuals" column. Now just save the manual that is offered in .pdf format to your hard drive.

The first thing that I would check is the wiring to the saw. My guess is that the wire to the saw or the cord is not heavy enough.
As saw like that can pull a lot of amps. Probably 15 or more when working hard. What happens is that when the amp draw goes up and the cord is too light, the voltage drops which increases the amps. and starts a vicious cycle...
The one thing that finally gives is the internal overload in your motor.
Try running heavier wire or a heavier extension cord if you are using one.
#12 wire or a 12 wire cord would be minimum, if running over say 50 feet then you should be looking at #10 wire.
I hope that this will help you to solve your problem!
Thanks for using Fixya!!

Testimonial: "Thanks. I will replace the power cord. I do not use an extension cord."
If you still have the old belt, take it to a well equipped hardware or auto parts store for a replacement. If the previous belt is missing, you will need to measure the pulley 'V' width at the top of the 'V', the center to center measurement of the two shafts, and the outer diameters of the two pulleys. Hope this helps!
