SOURCE: needle position wheel jammed
you might try Tri-flow superior lubricant. Take the lid off machine. put the oil on overnight - possibly use a little heat from a hair dryer. The ridges of the wheel can be pushed slightly with a screwdriver (at an angle on front of machine). I am working on one now.

SOURCE: elna 9000 bobbin problem
try changing the needle,,make sure the needle & thread & fabric are correct for each other
make sure the bobbin is turned the right way
it's also possible that when the needle gets jammed or broken that the machine can become out of time
and would have to be retimed at a sewing machine shop
