But if switched ON after 30 minutes it boots normally, otherwise no problem. When I remove the AGP card it boots normally. Please suggest a solution M.Sukumar

Re: system not rebooting for 30minutes after switch off

Take out the AGP card. Obviously it's not compatible. Check with the motherboard manufacturer to see what cards are compatible.

Radeon X1650pro suddenly stopped functioning

You may have to uninstall prior drivers and re-install the most current. If you have been operating this card with Windows 7 then, it must be compatible. This is AMD's link for your card. If it is indeed an AGP card I would try the driver listed for your operating system. It worked with Windows 7 but the current drivers may not work. If you have upgraded your drivers in the past yourself, you may want to see if you can find the last compatible driver that worked for you and/or you may want to start over altogether if you have the installation CD. You may also want to try the Vista driver, which will sometimes wirk with Windows 7. If it's at all possible, you might want to test the card on a family or friends computer with the AGP slot. Good luck. Dave

Get a new Video card, Your Radeon x1950 has meeted the end of it's life cycle. Once of the capicitor is damaged. You can repair the card if you know how to solder and weld other then that, it is cheaper to get a graphic card these days.

Ack graphics card wont fit in any input slots

the adapter u are using is pci express and the dell dimension 9100 are not compatible.. try returning it for either a pci (usually the white slot) or AGP which in most cases is brown.. the AGP will be your best performance.. if return is not an option.. then it seems that a new pc is in your best interest.

Screen going blank for a second or two while video freezes then jumps.

If you have on board graphics try removing video card and reboot when computer rebooted turn it of and refit card and restart when restarted computer should recognize new hard ware and should find the already installed drivers if not try installing drivers again
Sometimes windows does not recognize new hardware until its refitted
had this problem with modems alot and the above method solved it
