Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: REG - windows not recognised

For some models pressing select and the + volume button for 10 sec resets the device and it is recognized by the pc on connecting. Check ur manual to check the way to reset ur device. You can download the manual from http://www.sandisk.com in case you have misplaced it. Drop me a mail at balneet_83@yahoo.com to let me know if the solution worked for you.

Need USB Driver for Insignia NS-DSC7B09 Driver

Drivers and other useful downloads are available at the InsigniaProducts.com website. A driver should not be necessary for your camera, however; it should be recognized by your computer as a USB storage device and appear in Windows Explore as such.

First plug in the Insignia NS-DV4G. Go to device manager. Something should say unknow device either under usb devices at the bottom or portable devices. Right click it and click update driver. click browse my computer. click let me choose from device drivers on my computer. uncheck show compatible software. scroll down to compatible usb storage device in the left column. double click usb mass storage device. then click yes. it should say it cant start. click close. then right click the usb mass storage device and disable. double click and click enable. disable and enable again. open computer. you should not see it. close it and wait for auto play.

Make sure the headphones are set as "default" under Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Sound>Manage Audio Devices - same for microphone if you're using it for online speech.

Connecting to a new PC

What kind of insignia mp3 player is?
Does vista in your PC have the latest update?

While you gather that information try this (it may work, this is a generic solution)

In device manager go to the USB section and uninstall all 'unknown usb device', uninstall the ehome thing, uninstall the **** from microsoft. Make sure you have your mp3 player unplugged while your doing all this, then set it to File and folder, plug it back up and it should work.

That should work.. but if it still tries to recognize it as an eHome device, then in device manager right click on ehome and click 'update driver' and point it to the microsoft drivers you downloaded.

Make sure player is on, use another USB port, wait at least 30 seconds.

Does the Player Charge when connected to the USB ? If so then you have a "Live" USB connection so you may need to resolve a USB driver issue.

Make sure your OS has the latest updates: ie Service Pack 3

1) Hold the power button (slider) in the on position for about 15-20 seconds to force the player to turn off, if it's already on.

2) Hold the menu button down and simultaneously hold the power button (slider) to the on position.

3) Do not let go when the device turns on. You will then get a screen message in black and white that reads (with a typo):

WARRING !!!

NAND FLASH MEMORY INITIALIZE......

"WARRING !!!" will appear in red (and probably should read "WARNING". You will have the options of "No" and "Yes".

4) Choose "Yes" to re-format your device.
