For some models pressing select and the + volume button for 10 sec resets the device and it is recognized by the pc on connecting. Check ur manual to check the way to reset ur device. You can download the manual from http://www.sandisk.com in case you have misplaced it. Drop me a mail at firstname.lastname@example.org to let me know if the solution worked for you.

Well you need to install the driver/software of your player into computer, install them from the cd comes with your player. If you don't have the cd then please follow the below link to download the driver/software -
(First connect your player to computer and then install the driver/software after downloading. If your computer ask to restart then restart them)
