Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: dell latitude bios reset

The BIOS setup password is stored in NVRAM and can only be accessed with that password. On the bottom of the laptop there is a Service Tag number. Dell support site can use that number to generate a master password for you. http://support.dell.com/support/index.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&~ck=mn If you need further help please post back. SOURCE: dell latitude d810 drivers

You can download the drivers from Dell WEB site, the support download page. Make sure you select your model laptop, better still type in the Service Tag number, it is printed on the label on the bottom of the laptop. Also make sure you select the Windows XP or Vista version of the driver for your Windows operating system.

Here's a link to the Dell Latitude D810 drivers download page. I would suggest that you also check the BIOS and download that if yours is out of date.

Restore factory settings

You need to have a Dell "restore" or "reinstallation" CD/DVD that match with your laptop's operating system's key number (it is located on the bottom of your laptop). If you don't have it anymore, then as far as I know, you can use a Dell Windows XP Pro DVD/CD to reinstall the operating system. Later, you need to use other computer to download some necessary drivers; copy them to your D810 notebook and install them. I have this kind of DVD, so please let me know if you need it.

Use the System restore utility (programs -> accessories -> system tools -> system restore) to restore your computer status to a date when your sound was working properly.

I need to wipe the slate clean on my Dell Latitude D810.

You can replace the disc drive and then do it within the computer itself.
The other option is to system restore to it's manufactured date, with probably 90% of the time is impossible due to memory limitations of system restore. The next option would be to uninstall all programs and services, and running a few different brand virus scans, and spyware scans then uninstalling them as well. Defragment your hard drive afterwards, and clean disk, use Ccleaner to repair the registry (recommend keeping this jewel on all PCs). This is as close as you really want to get to a wiped clean pc without formatting and reinstalling; which we can't really do without a disc drive.
You could try burning your CD to a flash drive, and messing with the bios to let the PC boot from the flash drive and formatting / repairing and reinstalling from there, but that would involve using a pc with a disc drive.

How do you reset to factory settings on a Dell Latitude D510 laptop without discs?

Only way to do this would be to do a "system restore" without disks you can only hope you have restore points setup... run system restore from control panel and find out..

if no restore points contact dell for a restore disk.. remember the system restore without disks will not remove viruses or other harmful files..

Can't view webpages properly

Hi,
If the problem has started recently , just try a system restore. i.e. take your computer back to the date it was working fine.
Use the following link to do the same
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306084

If the problem still doesnot get resolved , try creating a new user account sometimes the user profile gets corrupted and can cause these problems

Thanks
