My dad got an LG RU-27FB30C (from a Hotel). Everything works ok, until I found that the menu button from the TV is blocked. Everytime that I press it, says "Key Locked". I bought a universal remote control, and when I press the Menu button, it doesn't show me anything. I guess it's blocked because it was from Hotel. Is there anyway I can unblock it?

Sounds like its been put into Hotel Mode. This is a mode normally found on Tv sets that are installed into Hotels Hense the Name this Greys out a lot of the tuning option on the Tv.
Give this ago and see if this will sort you out. Before I go any further be very Carefull in this menu as this is the hidden LG installer menu and I do not want you to brick you telly.
Hold down the menu button on the remote for Approx 5 seconds then type in 1105 This should bring up the hidden installer menu so that you can check that the Hotel mode is not set to on. Make sure this is set to off as This may be the cause of your problem.
Hope this helps you sort out your Telly. If so then please leave a thumbs up.
Well that pop had something to do with the power components inside the TV frying. I would have to say there is nothing you can do to repair it as its dangerous to work on such things. I wouln't waste my time bringing it to a repair shop they will probably tell you to just buy a new one.
