1st thing to try is a different XLR microphone cable. Sounds too simple, but sometimes it's the cable. If the mic has ever been dropped/damaged, OR has seen alot of saliva/spit from singing into it...it's possible the diaphragm has crapped out. At which point, get a new mic, because the SM-48 is not an expensive mic to replace with same.

No sound from my sm58 mic

The SM58 is a very rugged and reliable microphone and there are not many things to go wrong with it.
Assuming that you have tried using a different cable / amplifier to issolat ethe problem to teh microphone itself the most likely things are.
  1. A wire has come off inside - gently unscrew the top of the mic - lift it off carefully lift because the wires inside are quite short.
  2. A broken capsule - this usually results from dropping the mic on hard surfaces. Replacement capsules can be bought quite cheaply.Just tak careful note of the wiring order before disconnecting the old one.

3 wires inside are detached. I do not know which is which. Help

See the SM57 User Guide. The User Guide will probably show only two wires. The third wire was used on older mics and connects to the center ground lug of the cartridge.

What are the hazards a sound engineer can get from

Here is some very general info, however for more detailed info, I need more information on what your using it for. Speechs, Play, Vocals, Bands? Inside or Outside venue?

For Vocals you should have no problems with a Wireless Handheld SM58, they work over a large range, however still have a limit. Make sure the receivers are always close enough to the mics to hold a reliable connection.

Wireless Lapel Mics (Clip-on) are more troublesome, as they are generally consenser mics which are more susceptible to feedback. You also need to place them somewhere in range of the person's mouth, whist avoiding placing somewhere where you will get alot of fabric movement whist moving around, or you will hear that very loudly FOH. You also need to deal with body-packs and wires.

Leturn mics are generally easier to deal with than Lapel, however again are Condenser and more feedback prone.

I would reccomend the SM58 where possible, as it is much easier to work with, and you are more likely to get a better sound with less work.

I have connected the Magic Sing to a HD TV and a home theatre system and now get a sound-lag between the voice and the sound on the home theatre. Any ideas?

You need to connect directly the sound wire of your magic sing to your home theather while the video wire of your magic sing directly to your hdtv. If its difficult to do because of distance, buy an rca extension to extend your magic sing wire to make it reach to the other end.

Hey.i just want to wire up the speakers to the amp.can you help...

sure.. depend on what kind of speakers u r using...when active(they already has got a amp inside) than obviously u do have it build in so u just need connecting them to a source........
but with regullar speakers -and that's i think u've got them buy connecting cable between speakers and amp-can be regular phono cable...than wire your speakers with red and black,or blue cable and go to the back of your amp....there u should have two sort of clips...cables from speakers put inside, set the clip and u r ready to go..
hope that help...if u got any questions just write with the details couse u didnt give much

Sounds both in head set and speakers

Solution:

i) try somother headset(if you have spare ones...with u), if prob still exists there must problem with sound port(inbuilt sound on your laptop) which is not allowing the wire or chord of your headset to completely plugin to your laptop sound port.....

it is like this  connecting wire is  paritally inside your laptop sound port and partially outside and leading to sounds from both laptop speaker(builtin) and the headset you are connecting.....

Thanking you
