Question about Insignia NS-L26Q-10A 26 in. LCD TV
I discontinued Comcast and in trying to set up the channels discovered the Set Up Wizard would not show the scrren to do that because of being programmed for cable box. How can I get that scrren to change it?
Open the OSD menu and select Channels with the left/right arrows and press Enter. Next, go down in the list and highlight Auto Channel Search. Press Enter. Then use the up/down arrows to get Antenna as the highlighted selection. Press Enter again. You should see the progress as the unit goes through the OTA channels. Press Exit to get out of the Menu when the scan is finished.

Try insignia's website (http://www.insignia-products.com/universalcontrolcodes.aspx). They have codes for all of their equipment.

SOURCE: No sound on NON HD channels
I had the exact same problem on a brand new Insignia 26 " LCD with DVD. Comcast tech was able to fix it by changing the Comcast box diagnostics. Here is what he did. Using the Comcast remote with the TV on - press power, cable, menu in that order. A comcast diagnostic srceen will appear. Select Additional HDMI options, then audio options. Change the audio options to L-PCM. Press power again to exit the diagnostics. That will fix it and you get to use the HDMI cable.

Can you tell me, is the set top box connected directly to the tv? (i.e. not to a surround sound receiver or anything)

Yes you do need a digital converter box to get the digital signals converted for the analog television. The television is not set up for digital signal reception. For more information on this problem and technical help you can got to the Insignia website.http://www.insignia-products.com go to the customer support section and tell them the model number of you television and about the question of needing a digital converter box.You can also call them at their customer support telephone number 1-877-467-4289 and give them the same information. They will be able to explain the need for the converter box. I hope this information helps you with your problem.
