Question about Dell A215 Computer Speakers

1 Answer

Seems to be no power to speakers.

Speakers are connected okay. worked the other day and then the next day nothing. checked wires again all okay. but noticed the green light had not come on. so i presume no power is coming to the speakers. if not does it mean i need new speakers as they have packed up working. thankyou for your help in this matter.

Disconnect green speaker jack from computer and see if you get a green power light on speakers. If the speakers indicate they have power, your sound card or circuit is shorting out the speakers. If you still have no power to the speakers when disconnected from computer, then no green light means no power to speakers. Either you’re A.C. adaptor is bad or the speakers are shorted out. You have 2 options:
1) Replace A.C. adaptor.
2) Replace speakers.
If you buy new speakers, make sure that they have their own power source (A.C. adaptor).

My Logitech computer speakers are playing distorted sound. Also notice that the green power light is dim and wavering.

Could be the outlet, or the power strip if it is on one. would try a new outlet in a different room. return the speakers if this does not work.

Only one of my UST-MS30 computer speakers is working...the right one is dead

Hi there!, I have read the manual for your system,..and maybe I can offer some solutions....Firstly, I am a musician and have experience with a lot of musical and studio equipment....some may seem simple, but it can bug you for hours or even days.

You must follow some simple troubleshooting steps,...to cancel out the possibilities.

Firstly, turn off your system, and disconnect it from the source,....I am guessing it is a PC.
Disconnect ALL connections and then set them up again with the power off. When all speakers and power supply is re-connected, turn on again. Run a speaker check, your system or PC should be able to help you with this. If the speaker is still not working, next, swap the right and left speaker outputs. If the speaker works, then the problem is NOT the speaker ok. If the speaker still does not work, then it is a bad speaker or bad lead to the speaker understand!?

I just got my creative sbs 5.1 70 watt speaker 2 moths before.....everything was working fine but when other day i left the speaker on for 1 night the other day i tried to play it but the power was not...

Make sure all of the speaker wiring is seated fully in each connection point on the PC and speaker components themselves. Also, try leaving all of the speakers unplugged for a short while (1-2 hours), reconnect it all, then try again.

No sign of life in external notebook speakers

  1. If the powerlight is turning on some times and off sometimes, Then it may be a problem with the powersupply connected to the speakers. Check it.
  2. If the speakers are on and are not playing, Then try playing some music through alternate source like ipod, walkman etc.If the speakers are playing with alternate music source, The try reinstalling the audio drivers of your note book.
  3. If not then your speakers might have fried up due to some reason.

Speakers not working, but cables all plugged in...

You might have to reinstall the software that came with the speakers since you had to wipe your computer clean when the virus was on there. The speakers will not work until the software is installed back on your computer.

I cant install Computer Speakers can someone help me? I have taken speaker wire out of port over and over again and nothing happens.

First of all check your wiring is right. If you have a pair of speakers they need power so they should have a wire which goes into the electrical supply. Then they need to be connected to each other and thirdly they need to be connected via a wire probably green-tipped into a port on your computer. Probably green also. Once all these wires are in you can test them.
Find a CD or something and see if it will play. If not you need to go into control panel. Click start and find the control panel. You can type the word "control" in the "run" or "search" option if you want to(depends on whether you have XP or Vista) Look for your sound options. They may be set to mute or no-sounds. Enable them and your speakers should work. Also check that your volume is up......obviously :)

No sound on EV SonicXS 4.1

Good day Idn2000

you may check also in the manual your actual conection, and see if is the right, then check on control panel and speaker setup, for 4.1 setting. if the speakers don't work,at back, something is bad inside the controller, on sub. be carefull opening and moving things inside, but you can check that .
