Question about Dell A215 Computer Speakers
Speakers are connected okay. worked the other day and then the next day nothing. checked wires again all okay. but noticed the green light had not come on. so i presume no power is coming to the speakers. if not does it mean i need new speakers as they have packed up working. thankyou for your help in this matter.
Disconnect green speaker jack from computer and see if you get a green power light on speakers. If the speakers indicate they have power, your sound card or circuit is shorting out the speakers. If you still have no power to the speakers when disconnected from computer, then no green light means no power to speakers. Either you’re A.C. adaptor is bad or the speakers are shorted out. You have 2 options:
1) Replace A.C. adaptor.
2) Replace speakers.
If you buy new speakers, make sure that they have their own power source (A.C. adaptor).
