Hello
Try reseating the video card in the pci slot, remove completly then reinstall.

Also check your monitor video cable for being tight.

Last..Does this card require 24 volts? check for a 4 pin adaptor plug on the card.It may need its own power.

Monitor will not recognize laptop.

Did you use the Fn key and either F5, 6, or 7 (depend on brand and model of the laptop) to select which displays (internal, both, external only) for the laptop to use?
You should also try this monitor with other PC to make sure it is not the monitor problem.

DISPLAY PROBLEM

Dear! Don't worry, I can solve your problem if you act upon my advice. I assure your problem will be solved. Open the cover of your monitor and keep it in the sun rays 2 to 4 hours maximum and then you covered again on your monitor and start it, now you can see your problem will be solved.
Thank You

I have a rainbow of vertical lines on my gateway m675 and tried all the suggestions and nothing is work. It does show up on an external monitor.

The lines do show up on the enternal monitor? or do you mean that your video shows up fine on the external monitor? If your video DOESNT show up then your motherboard is toast, or at least the video card part of it, if your video card is embedded into your mobo(90% of them are) then you will need to replace the entire motherboard. There is no shortcut around it that is going to magically make it work, just go on ebay and look for a new one.

If it is not showing up on the external monitor then you probably need a new LCD screen. Again, go on ebay and find someone who is selling a new one. And again, there is no magical solution that will make it suddenly start working.

There is a small chance that it is just a loose video cable, but if that were the case then it would only happen periodically.

Nvidia GeForce 7200 GS PCIE - Multi-Display does not work

This card does not allow you to Multi-Display with the VGA port and the S-video port. If you put a DVI to VGA port adaptor (not supplied) on the DVI port, you can Mulit-Display two VGA monitors and (presumably) a VGA (from the DVI port) and S-video monitor.

This is not explained anywhere and the card does not come with a DVI to VGA port adaptor, so I wa only able to work this out after I bought the DVI to VGA port adaptor.

Adaptor settings

Take out the video adaptor that you have installed and see if you can boot up with only the on-board video, first in standard mode and then if it won't work, try the safe mode..

Did you change any other settings?

Also, when you had the video card installed, did you disable the onboard video?

EMachine monitor quit

This could be one of three components:
1. The video card
2. Video Cable (cable from the monitor to the computer)
3. The Monitor

The way I would determine this is:

I would try to plug this monitor into another computer that you know works with other monitor. If this is a home computer and you don't have another computer to test this take it to a friends house. Use a different cable to connect the to computer and power if possible. Then switch out to the old hardware (e.g. power cable, video cable.) If all has been determined to work then it's probably the video card.

If you can do this at all I would suggest trying a new video cable they are cheap. Usually 10 bucks at the most or borrow on from someone else. If this is a DVI cable they are a little more expensive. VGA cables look like this btw http://www.networktechinc.com/cable-pc.html
