Hi Saik,
I think problem is caused by unplugging the jack before pausing/Stopping the music.
1) Plug in a headset into the jack
2) Open up a media player (either the MP3 player or any online music)
3) Begin to let the music play.
4) Stop the music from playing after a few seconds
5) Completely exit out of the media application.
6) With the headset still plugged in, wait about 15-30 seconds. (this is so that the media/pandora app task can "fully" stop from running)
7) Unplug the headset.
The phone should now be able to emit sound from the earpiece.
If the above does not work, other methods I have read tell you to plug in a headset & play music. While the music is playing, quickly remove & insert the headset into the jack (not too rough so if doesn't break anything) until you hear the music coming out of the speaker.
Finally, if you still have the issue, try rebooting. Turn off the Phone, Remove the battery completely and reinsert after 30 seconds. Turn on the Phone.
Method 1:
Transfer the song(s) you want to set as ringtones onto the microSD card
either by connecting to pc via USB or using an SD adapter. Next, Tap on
the Music Player, open the music list, press the menu button and select
PLAY ALL, this will scan your SD card for music/audio files. Once all
your songs have been added to the list, select the song you want to set
as ringtone and click MENU key, choose SET AS RINGTONE and that will take you
to the RIngtone Trimmer, make the ringtone 30 seconds or less, select
Trim and you're done.
Method 2:
Root your HTC Hero, create a directory in your C: drive and name it
HeroRIngtones, HTC, or whatever and put there all the ringtones you want
to be added (30 seconds or less), then open Command Prompt; make sure
your device is connected and already visible. Run the following command
"adb push directoryname/myringtone.mp3 /system/media/audio/ringtones"
and press enter. Do same procedure for all the audio files you want to
set as ringtones.
Start iTunes and find the song you want to convert. (It must be
an MP3.)
Right-click the song and choose Get Info.
Click the Options tab.
Check the Start Time and Stop Time boxes, then
enter times for each (no more than 30 seconds apart, the maximum length
for a ringtone). I used 0:00 and 0:30, respectively, as "Spit It Out"
has a perfect ascending lead-in.
Click OK, then right-click the song again and choose Create
AAC Version. You should immediately see a new 30-second version of
the song.
Drag that version out of iTunes and into the folder of your
choice.
Delete the 30-second version from iTunes and undo the Start
Time/Stop Time changes to the original.
Open the folder containing the 30-second AAC file you dragged out
of iTunes, then change the file extension from .m4a to .m4r.
Double-click it and it immediately gets added to iTunes' ringtone
library.
Finally, sync your iPhone. When it's done, you can head into the
settings and select your new ringtone.
That's all there is to it! What song(s) will you assign to ringtone
duty? Leave a comment and nominate your favorites. Meanwhile, have a
happy new year! I'll see you back here in '09.
Make sure that you got all of your songs off of itunes, or that they have been converted through itunes correctly. This is caused by songs being the wrong format, or that the song itself is corrupted. Try restoring the unit through itunes, and loading the songs back on. If you are running with your unit while trying to listen music this can also cause the unit to freeze up when playing a song. Any type of continuous motion can cause your ipod to not play songs. This is because the ipod has a hard drive inside of it, and when you move alot with a hard drive it cant read correctly. If you want to run with your unit, i would suggest getting a flash drive based mp3 player (ie itouch). If you have any further questions feel free to contact www.wiredextreme.com.
turn every program but itunes off. your firewall is interrupting your sync. close all programs or turn off your anti-virus and firewall so nothing can interrupt. keep me posted with results.
