I can't locate primer bulb on husqavarna 150bt

The owners manual and stickers on the unit indicate there is a primer bulb, but I cannot locate it. Drawings in owners manual are poor to see where it is supposed to be located. Unit did start without priming. Does it not have a primer bulb????

You need to check the fuel line for cracks/breaks. Check the fuel filter if it has one. If these two things are o.k., then you will need to clean the carb. It probably has debris in it.

If you are not getting any fuel it should be either the filter plugged or the primer bulb leaking air. It could also be the fuel line. Give all of them a good look. ...Lee

SOURCE: replaced primer bulb and gas lines will not prime

Sounds like you have the lines connected incorrectly. Make sure that the bottom of the carb is connected to the inlet side of the primer (take the lines off and with one of the ports covered with your finger push the bulb, if it collapses and doesn't return then that's the suction/inlet of the bulb). The other side of the bulb needs to be connected to the gas tank. The other side of the carb needs to go to the filter side of the gas tank.

I would recheck the carburetor to make sure you put the diaphragms next to the carburetor and not the gaskets.
Please if it is not priming you may have the fuel lines hooked up wrong. Also check the fuel cap to make sure the vent assembly is there. If the tank is not venting, the tank will get a vacuum in it not allowing fuel to flow.

SOURCE: The primer bulb on this string trimmer wont

When the primer bulb sticks down either the cause can be
1. Fuel line is clogged
2. Fuel shut off is in the OFF position (if installed)
3. Fuel tank pick up tube is folded over or clogged. (inside the fuel tank)

I checked this model number: 41AJBT-C966 and it did not cross exactly. I found several C966 diagrams but they all have different engines from 25cc all the way to 65cc. If you need more help it will help me help you if you know your engine model number (i.e TB25 TB42 etc.) and would post it in your response.

Installing a primer

I'm not sure I understand your question...are you trying to replace the primer bulb on your lawn trimmer?
Is there a particular brand and model number you are repairing?

Generally speaking, when you are replacing a primer bulb on any piece of power equipment that requires one, you should always purchase a primer bulb that is specific to the make and model of the tool you are fixing, for proper fit and operation.

You can refer to your owner's manual specific to your trimmer for the exact replacement part number; you can call an outdoor power equipment repair shop local to your area to order the exact replacement part; and you can even purchase a small engine repair manual that will diagram step by step "how to's" for various electrical and mechanical repairs

The little pump for gas does not wok

The primer does not necessarily need to work for the unit to run. It does have a choke to aid cold starts. However it is a good indication of something wrong in the fuel system. A primer bulb that does not return to shape or does so slowly indicates a clogged screen in the carb. Check the fuel filter and fuel lines. Replace the fuel lines if they are stiff or discolored, rebuild the carb and replace primer bulb.

Are your belt patterns located under the chassis, usually on left side foot rest location if you were to lay on ground and look upward at the bottom of chassis. Do you see a sticker showing the layout ?

Sounds like a fuel starvation problem, Check fuel lines, filter and primer bulb, also carb may need cleaning or new diaphrams

I don't know where it is but they are usually easy to find, often on the interior fuse board, have a look at your owners manual or on the fuse board cover to see if it's shown there...failing that if it does operate then turn you indicators on and trace the sound.
Often people think the flasher unit has gone when it either sticks on or flashes very fast, more often in these cases you simply have an indicator lamp blown

I have a Homelite ST-155 String Trimmer. It says to prime the unit by pumping the bulb. I cannot find this bulb on the unit anywhere. Please tell me where it is. Thank you

I have been searching for a while now and know exactly why you came to FixYa for help. It is like a mystery as to where your primer bulb is even online!
Model number for the ST-155 is UT-20539-D

Look on the top or the bottom of the carb for a soft rubber button. Depress it not more than 2 times.
What is even more frustrating is... the carbs for this model are from 2 different manufacturers. One being ZAMA and the other being WALBRO. They are similar but the parts are not interchangable.

I have been helping people for quite some time now and this was one of the most frustrating searches. Not your fault... Just the manufacturer seems to want the location to be a huge secret.
I tried to find an owners manual for the ST155 via company websites also.. no joy!

Hello, I have an Echo SRM-3100 weed wacker 2-cycle that i can start but can't get it to run. i checked the fuel lines and they are clear, i took apart the carb and eveything is clean and in good...

Just to clarify, the purge bulbs actual purpose is to purge the carburetor of air and old fuel and help to pull fresh fuel from the tank to the carburetor. Some units have a purge bulb located on the carb and some have the bulb remotely mounted. I think on your model, the bulb is atop the carburetor on the primer base assembly. If the bub doesn't release, then there possibly is a problem in the fuel tank fuel cap vent. Check the cap and make sure the little duckbill vent is clean and clear. A vapor lock type situation can develop when atmospheric pressured air can't enter the fuel tank. You may also want to remove the purge bulb cover and the bulb and spray the top of the primer base with WD-40. You can remove the fuel lines and spray some into the carb as well. This will maybe clean and lubricate the sensitive check valves that may be sticking in the carburetor, causing your problem. Try this more than once if it doesn't seem to help at first. Internal check valves control fuel flow in and out of the carburetor and they do occasionally malfunction.
