My unit is displaying W OPE. It is not responding to the remote for poweron/off or anything else. The screen is indicating that a disc may not have recorded correctly (I was not trying to record anything) and wants me to press the OK button but it doesn't respond to it. I have tried unplugging the unit and it always comes back to the same message. I have the panasonic Blu Ray player model number BTT273.

SOURCE: Can't get sound from the wireless subwoofer

I had the same problem and it turned out that the directions are very unclear. You need to not only press the ID/SET button on the wireless system, but also on the wireless subwoofer itself. That solved my problem.

SOURCE: Panasonic DMR-EH75V will not respond

Hello Pamaral,
I have seen this problem a few times on the panasonic models and for some reason they fail quicker than they should. If your system is still under warranty you should send it in for service. If it is not, it would probably be a bit cheaper to go to a local repair shop and get an estimate as to the cost of replacing the defective IR sensor rather than sending it to panasonic where you will have to pay shipping and handling charges plus their parts and labor (which is like taking your car to a dealership for repairs and much more expensive than a local repair shop). Hope this helps and let me know if you need further assistance.

SOURCE: Panasonic DMR- EA18 DVD player/recorder - Remote control Problem

I figured out, unlike all the other posts, you don't have an enter button. But Instead, you would hit the 2 and OK button at the same time for a few seconds. I had the RC1 message and I did the 1 with OK and it worked. so if you have RC2, you should hit the 2 and OK. Should work!!

Unlock region free?

1. Remove any DVD discs from the tray/unit.

2. Switch off the DVD player and unplug the power cord.

3. Wait 30 seconds, then reconnect the power cord.

4. Turn on the DVD player with the supplied Samsung remote and wait for player to finish loading and display 'no disc' or the Samsung logo before you do anything else.

5. Press Enter on remote. (There will be no on-screen response to you doing this.)

6. Press the following numbers in sequence using the supplied Samsung remote unit's keypad -

8 4 2 6 9

(Again, there will be no on-screen response to this action.)

7. Press Enter on the remote. The DVD Player will automatically shut off.

8. Now, turn the DVD player on.

9. When it is on and showing the "no disc" or Samsung logo, turn it off again.

10. Repeat this action by turning the DVD player on, then off again.

11. The DVD Player should now be Region-free.

When I turn on my unit the display is stuck with REMOTE ON

Move the remote to another room to test. It is possible a button on the remote is stuck on.

Beyond that , it probably needs to go in for service.

Power botton not responding

If it's not ejecting or responding to any of the buttons on the unit, or the remote, but is able to play a DVD, the display microprocessor(computer) within your Harman is damaged. For more information, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

To get the HT out of the "RC" mode just repeat the MR+PTT+Poweron sequence
