Question about Washing Machines
I have had my front loader for approximately eight years and on a few occasions have experienced this problem but it does not seem to be correcting itself. It washes but does not extract all the water from washing load. After the cycle is complete, clothes are 'very heavy' as water has not been extracted. I have tried putting clothes through the final spin cycle again to hopefully remove the water but this is not working. I am not aware of any filters etc. that I should be checking, other than where the washing power is placed - which I regularly clean. I no longer have the instruction booklet so if you can offer any advice, it would be greatly appreciated.
It seems that your washer might be on its final leg, my friend. because its laying on its side you do not hear the belts slipping as you would a traditional washer. now the belt (or belts depending on your model) but if it has been slipping for a while the pulley could be grooved and that will only speed up your next belt wearing out. the pulley can be replaced. its just up to you on what you want to do. another thing the motor could be getting weak as well. best thing is to have a tech take a look and give you his synopsis of what is wrong.
