It usually works straight out of the box. When using for instance Skype, go into the settings and select the correct webcam. It should work from then on out.
Prior to the Windows splash screen do you see graphical issues ( black background, white writing, or bios splash screen) if you don't then the problem is with windows and will need to be reinstalled. Samsung ship laptops with a windows cd and is a fairly basic wizard. If you don't know how to do this google is full of guides. If you however see graphical problems right from turning the laptop on then there is likely to be a hardware fault straight from the factory. Contact Samsung and they will repair / replace the laptop through warranty. I have seen several Samsung laptops brand new from the box do this and It turned out to be a hardware issue and was replaced on warranty. Good luck.
Its not a cell phone. The easiest way is to restore from the 's supplied with the laptop.
Just insert nr one and tell to restore to a fresh install
Good luck

Open this link (Click Here), click "Free Download", wait for 60 seconds until the countdown timer resets, then again click "Free Download". It's a Pdf file which is zipped with winzip.
No you either have a bad video card or lcd screen. Try connecting the laptop to an external screen if it is also blank. You will need to replace the screen.
