Hi ericjpratt. did u input the WEP key into your ipod? if you didnt follow these steps (if u have then u better hope your ipod has a warranty): click on settings, click on wifi connection and choose whichever one is your connection (make sure your near to your computer and have a router so that your wifi can extend to more than 1 foot. and then enter your WEP key. after that return to the screen where you chose your network eg. bigpond231 and then set "ask to join network" as off
and thats all if it didnt work then ur screwed :P anyway, good luck with your ipod i know what it must feel like... that happened to mine as well until a few days ago.

How do you connect to app store when your ipod touch says cannot connect to app store invalid argument

Update the ipod software to 3.1.2 to address wi/fi problems, but dont update to the latest version 3.1.3 because the sneaky bastards at Apple used 3.1.3 to undo the jailbreak from Black Rain and Cydia. Theres no big improvement between 3.1.2 and 3.1.3 anyways.

Now make sure your ipod is fully charged and touch settings, wi/fi, slide the wi/fi to on, choose the same wi/fi you use to connect with your computer, and input the same user name and password, push the home button at the bottom of the ipod, then touch on Safari and the internet should be there for you.

Cheers old chap.

Wont let me get on the internet

First and foremost: are you in a WiFi area? The iPod touch can only access the internet when it's able to connect to a WiFi network. In order to browse availible networks where you are follow this: Click "Settings" Click "Wi-Fi" And under "Choose a network" it will come up with a list of networks you can access. Just click on one, hopefully yours!
And make sure that Wi-Fi's on/off button is switched to "On".
