Your dishwasher may be pluged into a gfi plug and need to be reset ,you might have wiring short posibly do to a pinched wire. Make sure your door was closed good, that could be the problem,If its a wiring problem call an aplliance repairman or electrician.

SOURCE: bosch angle grinder acts like its burnt out but motor resistance values suggest not

Hi Brian, running your angle grinder on reduced voltage (through overloading the petrol generator) will have caused the current in the grinder to be higher than it should be. This may not be what you expect, but it is a characteristic of rotating machines, they behave differently to resistive machines such as heating elements. You have not indicated how you come to the conclusion that the windings test OK. If you have just checked with an ohm-meter and see a continuity reading, this does not eliminate the possibility that the overheating resulting from over-current has broken down the insulation (evidenced by the smell and sparks) and you have short circuited windings. The grinder will run without a suppression capacitor, it is just there to minimise interference with you neighbour's (or your wife/girlfriend/daughter's :) ) radio. Replacing the capacitor will not restore your grinder, I reckon you have killed it, in spite of the fact that running it on a healthy supply was to quickest way to cool it effectively.

Testimonial: "ok thanks, i tested the resistance between each adjacent bar on the commutator and the the resistance across 180 degrees, each measurement was roughly the same, i also checked for continuity between each bar and the stack and there was none. I checked the four wires of the field coil and there was continuity between each pair but not each other if that makes sense."

What is the best way to sharpen bosch AHS 45 16 HEDGE TRIMMER

Please understand, if you do, you may well start a business!
You will have to take it all apart, and then take either a file or a grind stone and resurface the blades.
I know you can learn this skill, if you do not know how, but this time it will take you to do it right will be hours, and if you charge a reasonable rate to do this for others, you may find it cheaper to buy a new one!
You may be able to find a web-site by looking on-line that will tell you exactly you to do this.
God bless your efforts.

My Bosch AHS 48-16 Electric Hedge Cutter hit a bit of wire, now there's s clickingn noise when trying to start it. Any help appreciated

It could have possibly damaged the cutting edge of the blades and put a burr on them, meaning that as the blades reciprocate, the 'burr' is catching on the other blade.. Check the blades for damage and use a flat file to smooth off any burrs that could be catching. (Make sure it's unplugged before doing any work on the machine)

How to open a Bosch AHS 4-16 Hedge Trimmer ?

Not sure how to open it - if engine runs but clutch doesn't engage on revving perhaps the clutch has seized... point to bear in mind though is if you can't open the gear box (don't know how to) you most certainly won't be able to change a part inside - you will just get fiddly bits everywhere and never get them back where they should be - best get a pro to give you their opinion on whether it is worth the cost of getting it fixed.

My Bosch AHS 45 16 electric hedge trimmer start, is there anything you can suggest?

Hi Dan Walsh, When an electric motor won't start, it could be an open temperature device in the winding of the motor itself. If you have brushes and they are worn, then one or maybe two of the brushes can't stay inside the brush holder. They are spring loaded and if worn out can pop out. Also, if the winding are open, then there is not continuity. This will cause the condition you described. Not the best news, but it might answer your question.
Good Luck!

I have Bosch hedge trimmer AH15 63-16C which has stopped cutting. It still seems to be working as it should and the cutters moving as normal but suddenly stopped cutting? Just wondering if this is fixable...

This sounds similar to a problem I have with my Bosch AHS 60 24s. The blades are moving but not independantly and therefore not in a cutting action. I took it apart and the bottom blade has slipped off the drive wheel. I put it all back as it should be but as soon as I used it again, the same thing happened. I'm not sure why this is happening, it may be that the motor end of the bottom blade has become slightly bent, so I will be trying to straighten at the weekend. The cost of replacement blades is prohibitive and time for a new hedge trimmer. Has anyone else had this problem and a different solution.
