If the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects the calibrated amount of air flow and engine run time have been met, and the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) has not met the minimum thermostat regulating temperature, the code P0128 will set. Possible symptoms - Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light) P0128 Buick Description An Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor monitors the temperature of the coolant. This input is used by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) for engine control and as an enabling criteria for some diagnosis. The air flow coming into the engine is accumulated and used to determine if the vehicle has been driven within the conditions that would allow the engine coolant to heat up normally to the thermostat regulating temperature. If the coolant temperature does not increase normally or does not reach the regulating temperature of the thermostat, the diagnostic that use ECT as enabling criteria may not run when expected.

Regarding which thermostat to use, I am guessing it depends on where you live.

Ask these people when you order the thermostat.

Hello, There should be a sensor in the air snorkel and if it is sprayed with a choke or brake cleaner it is probably unreliable. This part can be cleaned with Electronics spray. The sensor measures the incoming Air temperature and makes engine adjustments based on temperature.

You can get a free scan at Autozone, Advance, or Oreilys autoparts stores. There are some malfunctions which will not set a Code and yours is temperature sensitive, so the scanner will have to catch it at the right temperature.

Looking at the thresholds you have given, there are a few other possibilities. If you look at hard acceleration, manifold pressure drops and you are saying the engine runs smoother with less manifold pressure. Could be a bad MAP sensor. Then looking at temperatures above 75 degrees, pressure in the fuel tank increases and the Evaporative Emissions system must adjust to capture the gas vapors. If the Evaporator solenoid is misfiring you may be feeling it cut-out. You have replaced the fuel pressure regulator, but has the regulator been adjusted? Some systems use a Relay to help the pressure regulator buffer the constant changes in demand to the fuel pump. The Relay could be bad making it seem that the pressure regulator was bad when it actually was not.

Check with one of the above 3 autoparts places for info on this Relay and if your model has it. I hope my solution is very helpful and that your problem is a less expensive part.

Po128 is the code. What's the problem

Well, I can't give you any specific information regarding your vehicle because you forgot to mention what kind of vehicle you have. (This is kinda important if you really want some help figuring out what is wrong with your car)

The "Generic OBD" of code P0128 is "Coolant Temperature Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature"

The most likely cause is a stuck-open thermostat, however, I have also seen defective Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensors also cause this code.

What is the use of fan thermostat controller and explain about it?

A thermostat is a device for regulating the temperature of a system so that the system's temperature is maintained near a desired setpoint temperature. The name is derived from the Greek words thermos "hot" and statos "a standing". The thermostat does this by switching heating or cooling devices on or off, or regulating the flow of a heat transfer fluid as needed, to maintain the correct temperature.

I have a Char-Broil Grill. My regulator started frosing over or turning white like a freon can would and so I changed the regulator and the new one is doing the same thing. I just replace the bottle...

This is normal under certain temperature and humidity conditions. The gas is expanding as it goes through the regulator and this causes cooling - that much is always the case. If you have had cool weather for a while, then the propane will be cold to start with. The expanding gas will cool the regulator to a temperature significantly cooler than the temperature of the gas in the tank. If it's humid outside, then condensation is going to form and if the regulator is below 32 F, you will get frost. Nothing to worry about, it has no impact on the performance of the regulator. This effect will diminish when the temperature of the propane goes up (after a warm day) and as the level of propane in the tank is reduced (so the pressure drop across the regulator will be less.)

Bottom freezer can't regulate the temperture

Hi, your bottom freezer not regulating it's temperature means you have a faulty thermostat which actually regulates the temperature of the freezer.
You have to replace the thermostat to solve the problem.

Take care

Coffee maker did not heat

An electric coffee maker has an electric flow-through brewing water heater with a heating resistor controlled by a temperature dependent regulating switch responsive to the temperature of the heating resistor, and a warming plate heated by the heating resistor for maintaining the prepared coffee at a desired drinking temperature. Apparatus for adjustably prolonging the interruption of heating current 2 to 5 times the normal cooling time of the regulating switch is connected in circuit with the heating resistor and the regulating switch, and a manually actuated small quantity control means connects the heating current interruption prolonging apparatus in circuit with the heating resistor and the regulating switch. The prolonging apparatus may be an adjustable auxiliary electric heater in parallel with the regulating switch and thermally coupled thereto or an adjustable timer in series with the heating resistor and regulation switch and triggered by the opening of the regulating switch

Alarm beeping, temperature not registering - have switched on fast freeze but still not dropping temperature. Regulator set to 1-2. Cannot hear motor.

Hi,

There is a malfuctioning of the thermostat which takes care of the temperature drop or getting signals from the controller. Please replace the thermostat and the temperature should work as you want it through the regulator control.

Let us know if you need any clarification.

Thanks
