Question about Sony BRAVIA KDL46HX800 46 1080p LED 3D TV KDL 46HX800 KDL46HX800
It used to work on static IP address, and stopped suddenly working. My modem and router is downstairs, from router goes cable to 1-st 5port switch, then to the 2-nd 5port switch upstairs, from 2-nd switch to TV and Blue-ray player. Blue-ray has no problem to connect to the router and internet. TV does. I tried strait connection to the router (using crossover Ethernet cable) and nothing. Maybe I should use Strait Ethernet cable? I think, it may be some TV Ethernet adapter problem. Thanks, Marek.
Use a straight thru to connect directly to the router. Cross overs are typically used when connecting PC's directly together or daisy chaning routers or switches. Try a different port on the switch? Also from a pc, go to the DOS prompt and try and ping your TV. If your TV IP settings are all correct, and your network equipment is working, your should get a response from pinging your TV. If you don't, I would suspect a problem with your TV Enet port.

Most laptops have a combination of buttons you have to press on the keyboard to get it to output on the monitor output. Try pressing the FUNCTION KEY or FUNC/FN key usually found in the bottom left hand side of the keyboard. Keep that button held down while press one of the number keys. Usually the number key will have a picture of a TV screen on it. Might be number 8 or 9. Press both keys at the same time a you can switch between laptop screen, Sony LCD or you can have both..

Most likely this is caused by a defective main board. Changing the main board will fix the issue about 95% of the time.
To be absolutely sure, the voltages need to be checked on the power supply. If they are not the values listed in the service manual, then you should replace the power supply instead (accounts for the other 5% of the time).

There is a problem with the processor. The only way to resolve this issue is to replace the main board. It is called the A board in your TV.
