My trunk won't pop open when I lift the trunk release lever

you can adjust the tension by moving one or both bars. on one end it should sit in one of three notches. I have moved mine by hand but you may need a screwdriver or pry bar on some cars. also depending on the car, you may want to put something to protect your rear window. As some have alot of tension and may spring out, and hit the window. Just try different positions till you get your desired effect. And a last note sometimes the bars become bent or really weak from use. And may require to be replaced. If so then they can be ordered from the dealer.

How can I get my 1998 Ford Taurus trunk to stay up on its own

If it has trunk lid supports they may need to be replaced. If it uses a torsion bar under the back window it may be bent.

sounds like it is incorrect flex plate
for bolts to keep coming loose i wouldsay the bolt threads in end of crank have been streched thru over tightening
you may be able to redrill and tap these
to do this you will have to pull engine
you alsocannot weld craCKS IN A FLEX PLATE
FLEX PLATES flex THEREFORE WELDING IS A WASTE OF TIME
WELDING WILL ALSO PUT FLEX PLATE OUT OF BALANCE WHICH AGIAN WILL CAUSE CRACKS AND PROBABLY WAS THE ORIGINAL PROBLEM TO START WITH

Car overheated, big boom under hood, black smoke out of back, speedometer dropping, oilpressure dropping and then car died. 94 eagle talon 5 spd

The engine has seen it's final days of providing secure and unproblematic performance. Where there is smoke, there is fire. overheating is the worst thing that can happen to an internal combustion engine.

I dropped my green egg, it now has a huge crack on the side and the bottom broke in three places. how can I fix this?

I hate to give you bad news but repair is near hopeless, I would try a heavy duty epoxy JB weld or JB industro weld. notch out all cracked areas then fill notch and crack with epoxy. Allow to dry fully. JB weld is safe in high temp of engine compartments. Good Luck

Getting the front forks out there bent

Ok to get the front forks out, first you must take everything off the front of the bike such as fairing, headlight, windshield, nachelle, etc. Don't forget to disconnect the battery first. Then lift the bike off the ground and take the front wheel and the front fender off.

Look on the backside of the lower triple tree. There is a pinch bolt there. Loosen the bolt and spray some penetrating oil around the upper fork tube. Then take the large "nut" off the tube at the top triple tree. You may have to drive a chisel into the slot on the lower triple tree from the bottom side to spread it a bit. Then work the entire fork tube out of the steering head. Do the same with the other side.

Good Luck
