Question about Samsung S860 Digital Camera

1 Answer

My samsung S860 digital camera won't turn on. Green light flickers, but that's it. I tried 4 new sets of brand new batteries. I was taking pictures, low battery popped up on the screen, so I changed the batteries, but the camera never came back on.

After taking a photo th camera has a black screen and the green light flashes on and off. All buttons are frozen and you have to open the battery door to reset. I am worried the battery door will break after some time of doin this. I does not matter if the batteries are new or old. There are no answers on Samsung's website and it was my sons 12th b'day present - not happy.

Same thing. Lens comes out a fraction of an inch, blurry screen, three beeps, and camera shuts off. And this happens with new batteries.

How will i fix my samsung S860?

The only safe way is to take it in for service so there is no further damage done.

My Samsung S860 won't even turn on anymore. I changed the batteries but it is still not doing anything. Is there something I should do?

Same thing just happened to us. The green light comes on and the lens opens up but the screen stays blank and it gets stuck here. My daughter barely used this camera - only has taken about 180-200 pictures since she received it as a gift.

Samsung S860 won't power on. light blinks green, will not start

I had a similar problem with this camera. although its likely you have damaged the camera (seek repair from authorised Samsung dealer. should have a 1 year warranty - although you may not be able to claim accidental damage) there is always a chance the batteries are stuffed. i spent hours trying to find out what was physically damaged before realising the AA batteries did not have enough CURRENT to support the camera. gave same symptoms. some new extra heavy duty batteries did the trick.

Worth a try before footing a large repair bill

The stupid thing won't power up anymore. I try and cut it on and the green light just flickers then goes off. it froze when the lens was out too which means its been stuck that way for a while. I didn't...

I found that cheap (new) batteries will not work in my camera. Duracell or Rayovac seem to work best.
I added 2 (new) cheaper batteries it took 1 picture the lenses would not retract and the battery light flickered. I found 2 new Durnacell and it works fine now. Hope this helps.

No lights no power

Make sure to try a set of good quality batteries. I had the same problem with 6 sets of batteries. I thought my camera was broken. I was using generic alkaline batteries. They checked okay voltage wise but they didn't have the milliamps necessary to drive the camera. I switched to a good name brand and the camera works like a new one.

Blurry pics Samsung S860

Try it with DIS function on.
You take a shot, in average daylight conditions in 11 modes, See which settings give good pictures and use those settings.
Probably the best setting for the digital camera is AUTO(green),for a novice
