Are solar chargers heavier than regular chargers?

Naturally due to the size of solar chargers they are going to be a little heavier than a regular charger, but keep in mind that solar chargers are able to charge you device so long as the sun is up.

Solar Charge Controller should be giving 5amps but only getting 1.5 amps. Please assist

The charge controller is not designed to absorb power it is normally an on or off situation. (sometimes at high speed).
If it was absorbing 3.5A it would go on fire.
I would suggest checking the solar array by shorting it while out of circuit this will determine the mpp current of the array within about 3% at a given time, reconect the array back on to the charge regulator (assuming the sun has not suddenly been covered by a cloud).
If the current is dramaticaly lower than the short circuit current then the battery bank may be controlling the amperage volume, If this is the case there may be a number of reasons for this which would require further info.

Do pop up campers have batteries for their electrical system?

YES MOST DO TO RUN LIGHTS. YOU NEED TO SNOOP AROUND YOUR CAMPER TO SEE IF IT HAS A PLACE FOR A BATTERY. SHOULD BE ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE CAMPER.. NOT GOOD TO HAVE IT INSIDE OF CAMPER UNLESS IT A SEALED BATTERY, BATTERY'S LIKE A CAR BATTER GIVE OF HYDROGEN GAS AND CAN EXPLODE VIOLENTLY SO IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT ADDNG A BATTERY PUT IT ON THE FRONT HITCH ASSEMBLY AND USE A FUSE THAT MATCH THE SIZE WIRE AND LOAD.. YOUR LOCAL AUTO PARTS STORE CAN HELP YOU WITH ALL THE THINGS NEEDED RIGHT DOWN TO THE 12V FLOAT CHARGER OR MAYBE EVEN SOLAR ! GOOD LUCK AND I'FN I WAS ANY HELP PRAISE IS APPRECIATED .. CHARGING FAULT

hi friend,
step 1
Make sure you have all of the accessories. Some phones need special adapters for charging. If you're having problems fitting the charger into your cigarette lighter socket, check with your cell phone company. You may need an adapter ring.
  • Step 2 Find the right battery. Certain phones can only be used with batteries from the same company. If you are using a counterfeit battery, be aware that you may not be able to charge it with your current set up.
  • Step 3 Read the manual. Something as simple as charging a battery may take specific instructions. For example, some cell batteries need to be charged immediately while others come fully charged.
  • Step 4 Use your charger. Most cell phone chargers are easy to use plugging right into your phone and home outlet or car electrical cigarette socket. Read your manual on specific steps needed for charging your phone.
  • Step 5 Try Cellboosts. These convenient devices are disposable battery packs that plug into your phone, charging it when the charger isn't accessible. Cellboosts usually last for an hour and are not compatible with all cell phones.
  • Step 6 Go solar. This innovation allows you to charge your phone wherever there is light. Just attach your cell to a portable adapter and let the light do the rest
  • hope this helps u

Probably a weak connection. Clean the clamping surface and the battery connection surface and try again.
