Re: phone dropped in pool
Here's what I did...
Go to the drug store or walmart and get the highest concentration of isopropal alcohol(rubbing) I think it will say 97%. If you could get 100% that would be even better.
Pour the alcohol in tall thin container and take out the sim card if it has one. Take it back out once submerged and shake it well to make sure you get it in every nook and cranny.
Put it back in the alcohol for two hours.. Remove it and shake it again really good this time. Let dry for about a day and verify that it looks dry. It must be pretty dry or you could mess it up. But it should be because alcohol evaporates quickly.
Like I said i dropped mine while boating in the ocean and was able to recover it.

It most likely is dead. Whenever this happens you should immediately remove the battery. If that is not possible turn the phone off. From there, letting the phone dry by putting it in a Ziploc bag with rice for several days sometimes will fix the phone.
I once dropped mine in a pool. I popped the battery off, dried it out with the rice method and tried to get it working again. It did not work until I replaced the battery but the phone was fine after that.
walk outside with your phone in hand. with one hand, hold the phone firmly. with the other, grab a baseball bat. step out into your yard, or maybe the yard of a neighbor you don't like. throw the phone straight up in the air, then grab the bat handle firmly. swing away at that bad boy. fetch the phone and repeat the process if you are not fully satisfied with how your phone functions after one whack. hope this helps
I took the phone apart and used an electrical contact cleaner on the phone and sprayed the hell out of it minus the battery which you will have to buy a new one. The put a fan on it for a day then let it sit on the dashboard of my car for a day. Put it all back together and it works Mine was dropped in 18 feet of salt water
