SOURCE: Replaced printhead and ink cartiages on a Kodak ESP.3

I had my esp3 stop printing black also. I bought new cartridges even tho' I knew the ones in the printer were at least half full. Still not printing black. I finally called Kodak support and got a tech who was the first tech from India who could speak English well. He was very helpfull but in the end he told me he would send me the printer head because that was the problem. My printer was not used for about a month and the head dried up. The tech said that printer must be used about twice a week and the best way was to print the test by using the 'Scan' and 'Copy' at the same time. There was no sense telling the tech this is a huge flaw in the printer as he must have been hearing this for a long time. After I received the new printer head it prints fine. This is an absolutely huge flaw in this printer. If they can't make a different style of head for this printer these will stop being used................. So if you have the ESP3 (I don't know about the other models) and don't use it often the head will dry up and you can't clean it (according to the tech I talked to). Kodak should send these free for the life of the machine in my opinion.

SOURCE: printhead carriage jam facult is showing. No jam,

This error message is displayed by the printer when paper is jammed in one or more locations. In such a case, users are recommended to remove the jammed paper from the specified location. The entire paper path must be checked for any pieces of paper. To stop the message, open and close the top most cover of the printer. Lastly, verify the flags and the sensors. If the problem persists, the cause of the error message could be a broken sensor or sensor lever.

unplug from power and pull down the front cover and see if it will move then, if not, needs to be repaired or replaced, since printers are cheap and may be cheaper too just replace

Www kodak com go aiosupport

Several things could cause a printhead jam. Check to make sure the bar is clean and that no pieces of any stick on labels are stuck to the wrong places, next, make sure your cartriges are properly seated, if all else fails, you can see if the print head can move at all or if it seems to be sticking to the steel bar that holds the print head. if the print head is sticking to the bar, DO NOT OIL THE BAR. you can place a drop of lighter fluid on each side of the print head to lube the bar. There is a bronze bushing in the print head and it will absorbe oil and lighter fluid is a very fine cleaner lub. But do remember that it is also very flammable.

Message says "printhead carriage jam". No indication there is anything wrong.

The print head its self can jam, could be caused by a piece of a label or a cartrige not properly seated, chek those things, if not that, try to shut down the printer and restart. most printers on boot up do a head cleaning. If all else fails, see if you can gently dislodge the print head. A final not for all printers, never ever use oil on the carriage bar, if the head is moving slowly or draging, shut down the printer and put a drop of lighter fluid on each side of the print head and restart the printer, do becareful to only use a drop.

Kodak ESP 7250 printhead cartridge jam ... How do you resolve?? I have tried everything ... Turned off ... Unplugged ... Changed cartridges ... Etc etc .... Who has this problem and had it resolved??

If possible see if you can reach inside the printer and try to release the cartridge as if you were going to change one that was empty with a full one. If you can not get it free, try and remove all of the printer cartridges and see if that helps. Jams are usually cause by the cartridge not being seat properly. Good Luck.

To resolve this error: Open the printer access door. Disconnect the power adapter from the printer. Gently hold both sides of the carriage, located immediately behind the printhead, and make sure the carriage moves freely. Remove the printhead and ink cartridges. Reinstall the printhead and ink cartridges, making sure each clicks into place. Connect the power adapter to the printer. Turn the printer on. Close the printer access door Hope this helps resolve your problem

Printhead cartridge jam code 3527

Contated Kodak about the error code 3527 and was advised I needed to purchase another printer and they would give me a 30% discount. Why would I do that when my Kodak printer is only 14 months old! My Dell is 9 years old and works fine! Dell ink cartrides are expensive and can only be ordered online. That is why I switched to Kodak. Do not buy Kodak!
