Question about Computers & Internet
I recently had to format my hard drive and start fresh. I've got almost everything working except for the function keys. The keys will still do everything, such as changing the volume or muting, changing brightness, etc. But there is no more notification that appears on my screen. For example, if I would use the fn keys to change the volume, a little speaker would appear on my screen with a bunch of dots to show me how loud the speakers were set to. It doesn't do that anymore and the volume also changes by 1% increments as opposed to 10% like it used to. Also, when I press the wireless antenna key, a window used to pop up where I could turn the bluetooth and wireless antenna on or off. Now what it does is cycle through all the possible settings instead o letting me choose what to turn on or off. I have an Acer Aspire 5750G, Windows 7 64-Bit, and looking at the acer website I have no idea which driver/program I would need to get this back again. If anyone can help me that would be greatly appreciated.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

The solution is as follows, which worked for me:
- Install Windows 7
- let it update all the drivers that it needs to
- Install additional Sony drivers that you need (XP drivers work just fine, but make sure to install them in Administrator mode, so, Run as Administrator), such as camera, fingerprint scanner, etc
- Install the Notebook Control Device Driver (without this the other software does nothing)
- Sony Utilities DLL
- Sony Shared Library
* restart computer *
- Sony Video Shared Library
- SUS (Setting Utility Series)
* restart computer *
- VES (VAIO Event Service)
After this one the Fn keys will start to work. The S1 and S2 keys don't work due to something to do with UAC (but I don't need them anyway)
- VAIO Control Centre (will allow you to change what the S1 and S2 keys do, even though you can't use them :) )
That's it and it worked for me.

After pairing it, have you tried to go to your sound settings in Control Panel and selecting the bluetooth device as your standard sound device?
