I have the same problem, I'd like to replace the screen. Is there a place where I can buy the screen or just send the V200 to repair it?

I suspect that the screen is damaged. The liquid crystal is leaking. It could be old age or some violent shock. It may be time to replace it with a TINspire CX CAS, a Casio Class Pad 400 or the latest HP Prime

For the TI-89 Family, TI-92 Family, and Voyage 200:
  1. Try a new set of batteries (including the backup battery).
  2. Adjust the contrast by pressing and releasing the Diamond Key key followed by pressing and releasing the [+] key; repeat as necessary. To adjust or lighten the display, use the [-] key.
  3. Users of the TI-89 Titanium or Voyage 200 should see the following case before performing the following reset procedure to prevent the loss of valuable Apps.

Hi i had reseted my voyage 200. Must i do anything before install new programs?

well,

Technically you can just install the new programs using your ti-connect device but it would be advised to search ti.com/calc for a new operating system, commonly termed OS. It is just a suggestion that will make the calculator run much smoother.

The Solution, which suggests to replace the capacitator seems to be the only permanent.

Turning the device on and of (with "2nd" + "on") rapidly for a few times (about 10-15 for me) made the lines disappear for while, too.
