The atomic clock did not reset to daylight savings time. How di I reset it?

Depending on which country you are in (the UK won't reset for a couple of weeks yet), your clock will automatically reset when it receives the adjusted time signal. If your clock is not receiving the signal, try moving it near a window and away from any electrical interference, or it is possible that your battery is getting low and has not got enough power to receive the signal.

Bulova wall clock hands won't move

I haven't much experience of this type of clock. A friend has such a quartz pendulum clock and I was surprised to discover the pendulum has no direct mechanical contact with the clock motor and as long as the motor draws some current from the battery the pendulum will swing due to the resulting influence of a small electromagnet.

I guess the quartz mechanism is at least electrically ok but somewhere there is a mechanical fault preventing the hands moving.

A typical quartz clock motor is fairly simple and dismantles easily to reveal only a few internal parts that can be examined under a magnifier to determine the probable fault - dust, burrs or excessive wear.

It is also worth making certain the clock hands do not bind on each other or the clock face.

Hi there. I have a Simplex model 630-9132 circular wall clock. It's the type that can be synchronized. I'm having trouble getting it to behave like normal clocks. Currently some sort of extra gear is...

With the back dust cover off, as you look at the back of the brass movement. At the top, dead center, off the plate away from you, is a metal post with 2 springs attached to it. Slide a thin-bladed screwdriver straight down from that shaft, pushing down gently on the lever you see below the post. You should see a little movement, and hear a quiet click, of another lever to the right.

Repair of Fantazein clock

If the moving spindle, where the LEDs are attached is either not moving, or jittering when power is applied, it is most likely that the PNP transistor (only one on board) is burnt and needs to be replaced by the like of 2N3906. It can be located next to where the speaker wires (x4) are soldered to the PCB, and next to the snubbing diode.
