Use your installation CD for Windows that came with your computer, and boot to the CD. (Usually, pressing the F12 key will offer your boot options such as "Boot to CD.")
Once booted on to the CD, it will offer you several options - Do NOT reinstall Windows - you want to choose the Repair Option.
When the repair stuff has loaded (You may have to select which volume you wish to work on, if so just pick the number that is next to your C drive.) and you are at the prompt that looks like "C:>" you will want to type in the following, without the quotation marks.
"chkdsk c: /r"
It will take a while for it to work all its magic, but that should fix your problem!
When it is finished, you can simply push the power button on your computer to turn it off.
When you next turn it on, it should be happier.

Hi, For DVD ROM try to use another working CD on the same DVD rom if they are working then CD are not working but if those CD/DVDs are working on another computer then it is DVD drive issue. It needs to be changed. First check the ODD is getting detected in device manager or not. Also try removing upper filter and lower filter from registry. Use below link to know the steps and then check. Microsoft Fix it. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&docname=c00678214 For Internal Speaker- If sound is coming from headphone and not from the internal speaker try these steps. 1. Click Start > Control Panel , and then click Hardware and Sound . 2. Click Sound and then select Speakers and Dual Headphones . 3. Click Set Default and then click OK . If still not working then sound board which is on the motherboard is not working. Then it?s a purely hardware issue and you need to replace the motherboard. I hope this will be helpful.
