SOURCE: ipod nano hard drive frozen?

Hi!

If its under warranty then please get it replaced or buy an extended warranty(if its warranty is about to expire). I am sorry but there is no other way to get it fixed as this is not a software issue.

Please revert for any clarifications

Thanks
Rylee

Ipod 4G nano shows 0 songs when disconnected, but shows all data when connected t iTunes. Please help.

If you have all the music from the Ipod on your computer, I recommend you do a factory reset of the Nano. You could have a corrupted audio file that is messing everything up or your hard drive could be failing.

Won't turn on

Is your iPod fully charged? Sometimes the batteries become so depleted of charge that an accessory charger won't turn it on.

-Try plugging it in to your computer or a wall charger for a while, time will vary but it may turn on.

-If it is not turning on your computer will never recognize it, thus you won't be able to do a restore with iTunes.

-Try a hard restart as well this could help you.

Ipod wont turn on

i have a few things for you to do first are simple and 2nd is to try a hard reset. make sure it is charged
hold down the "select" and the "menu" buttons together until the apple logo pops up.
if this doesnt work then lets try a hard reset To reset an iPod with a Click Wheel, including: iPod nano (4th generation) iPod nano (3rd generation) iPod nano (2nd generation) iPod nano 1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.) 2. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step. Tip: If you are having difficulty resetting your iPod, set it on a flat surface. Make sure the finger pressing the Select button is not touching any part of the click wheel. Also make sure that you are pressing the Menu button toward the outside of the click wheel, and not near the center. If the above steps did not work, try connecting iPod to a power adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet, or connect iPod to your computer. Make sure the computer is turned on and isn't set to go to sleep. if that doesnt work take it to a store that sells them and see what they say. If it is under warranty get it repaired for free. If it is not look into how much it will cost to have it repaired versus replacing and figure out what is more cost effective. also this website guarantees there work on ipods click here for ipod repair site
*note that a hard reset may cause you to lose some or all of the data so make sure your library file is backed up..
if you need further assistance on any of the steps please let me know and i will be glad to assist you. Thanks and have a great day.

No power to ipod nano and it wont reset or recognise the ipod on my pc

Try to do a hard reset (menu button and center button together for 5sec) while having it plugged into a wall charger. Try different types of chargers. If all that fails you have a broken logic board.
It's not too hard to replace the logic board yourself. Here is an iPod Repair Guide that shows how to open an iPod nano. Logic boards are easily available on Ebay. If you want somebody else to do it for you go to iPad Repair

Screen is frozen

How to reset iPod Nano if it is not responding or frozen.
Hold down the Center and Menu buttons simultaneously. The screen will start to melt away. Then you will see the Apple appear on the screen.

The iPod has been reset sucessfully.
Music files should still be saved, but some customized settings may be lost.

If that doesn’t fix your problem, try a hard reset by holding down Menu and Play/Pause simultaneously for about 10 seconds. A hard reset will clean all data off the unit.
