You paid for support... I just missed your chat session..if they can't help you let me know. I dropped a phone in the ocean once and got it working again and that's salt water.

Canon dropped in the pool then I turned it on!

If you drop any electrical item into the pool (or a toilet as I once did :)), then you should switch it off, remove batteries and give it a good shake to dislodge as much water as possible, Then what I normally do is to put it on a room radiator. I don't touch it again for a day or two until I see that when i shake it again, there is no more liquid coming out. then I'm pretty sure that it's dry inside. The rice is also a good idea as it will absorb some of the liquid but I find the radiator method to be the best for me.

Dropped straight talk phone in toilet yesterday @ doctors office. got home and dried it out and it came back on but battery was low so i had to charge it and when i did it must've fried it. won't...

Hello -

If you did not follow all the steps provided here:
https://www.wikihow.com/Save-a-Wet-Cell-Phone
before trying to recharge your cell phone, you may very well have "fried" it.

If you are sure that ALL parts of your cell phone are totally dried out, you may need to purchase and install a new cell phone battery, which will need to be charged before using the phone.

Note: If you replace the battery, be sure you send the old battery to proper battery recycling.

If a new, replaced, charged battery doesn't work, remove the SIM card and purchase a replacement phone which will accept the removed SIM card.

Note: If you have to replace the cell phone, the place where you purchase a new one may take the old "fried" phone to recycle it properly. If not, make sure the old "fried" cell phone goes to electronics recycling and do not just toss it away.

Best wishes.

My phone got wet

Try removing the battery, using a blow dryer to air everything out in battery compartment. If there are any tiny screws or way to open up the phone itself, open it up, and blow everything inside there too.

Let it dry out completely and then see if it will work again. My guess is no, because once the circuits get wet, they are pretty much damaged and irrepairable.

Hope this helps at least some. Good luck!

Dropped in water-how do I take it apart to dry?

easy way to fix that problem...dont buy him a new one...maybe if he pays for it himself he will have a little more respect for it...besides that, the best you can do for the phone is let it dry naturally for about 10 days before trying to reinstall the battery. once an lcd display has been water damaged it is more economical to replace the phone than to replace the display.

I dropped it in water

You may have shorted it out. Take back off, remove battery and sim and dry it out as best you can leave it in an airing cupboard or warm place to dry out overnight. Put it back together and hope for the best. If you can easily remove the front cover and keypad remove that as well. Just cross your fingers!
