On further checking, there is a bar with gears that roll on tracks on the right and left sides of the freezer draw. observed that the bar is not in alignment. the left side that closes is further away from the front than the right side.it appears this has to be removed and reinstall but do not know how to do this.

SOURCE: LG bottom freezer

Sounds like the refrigerator is sitting lopsided.  Make sure that the front legs are both retracted in the up position.  If it doesn't work, then lower the front leg on the hinge side of the refrigerator.  That will cause the frame to lift the door and it should be able to close properly.

SOURCE: Bottom freezer door/drawer won't close all the way on one side.

Remove all the food from the freezer and then the drawer from the cabinet. Now using a silicone based lubricant, lube the tracks up real well. Be sure to clean the tracks first if gunked up. Make sure nothing small fell out of the basket over time and is laying on the floor in the rear of the freezer section. Once done, you should be fine.

SOURCE: Bottom freezer door on our LG is out of

The easiest way to fix that is to pull the freezer door all the way out and give it a good little tug, you will see the plastic covers on the side rails there will be a little gap about one inch on each side make sure those gaps are even. Your door should be aligned

SOURCE: doors won't stay closed!

Frost in the rear of freezer possibly caused by door staying open.  Door staying open possibly caused by frost buildup on ref door track.  Start by making sure the teeth on the freezer track are clear of ice and frost.  This should allow you to shut the freezer door.  Next check the freezer seal.  If it is not completely sealed it it will build up frost. It is also possible that the frost in the rear of the freezer is from a failure in the defrost cycle as the evap coils are at the back of the freezer. If this is the case your refrigerator is probably getting warmer.

SOURCE: the bottom freezer door doesn't close all the way

Check to see if there is anything that has fallen behind the basket or obstructing the tracks.

Water leaking out bottom of refrig/freezer

Sounds like maybe two things. Your freezer isn't closing correctly and condensation is forming, bad seal maybe. Other option is you need to clean the pan on the bottom of the fridge. Condensation gathers there and it is normal, but if you alot of crud down there it will cause water to gather. Hope this helps...
