SOURCE: yamaha virago 535 turn ignition on neutral light

These are known for starter problems... The clicking you hear is the relay but the bendix is locked up put it in about 3rd gear and rock it hard forward and back. Bendix may release. Make sure battery is good. As I said before these bike are well known for their starter problem and even after having it fixed by a dealer problem seems to show back up after a very short time. Good Luck!

SOURCE: it wont start the lights are on and its in neutral

Battery.

More than 2 years old? Strike one

Sat for a while? Strike two

You could hydro the battery if you have a tester - 1200 is good (get the tester at auto parts store for about $6.00)

You could do a voltage test at rest - 11 or more volts is good. (get volt meter at auto parts store for about $12.00)

You could measure voltage at 1500 rpms ... if you could get it started - 13 to 15 is good.

You could jump it with a car battery (engine not running) see what happens.

New battery about $30.00.

Let me know what happens ... If it isnt the battery ... we can go from there.

If you push the starter button and hear a click the starter button is good. If you do not hear a click, put power to the two skinny solenoid activation wires(+ and -), if you hear a click now you have a bad starter button. Clean or replace the switch. Follow the positive battery cable to the solenoid, short across the battery power cable and the starter power cable. If the starter works you need a new solenoid. If you tap on the starter with a plastic hammer while holding the starter button, and it works, you need new starter brushes. If you take the starter apart and the coils are burnt or the armature is shorted you need a new starter.

I have a fujitsu e8410 which will not start up properly, when i push the start button it shows power but then the fan comes on and the cap num and shift lock leds flash and nothing else. can you help?

When you plug in the power cord is there any lightswhatsoever on the laptop, where the plug goes in or on the AC Adapter of thepower cord?

When you press the power button do you hear fans running, hard drive spinning, lights on the computer, hear any beeps or lights constantly blinking, hear theDvD/CD drive click and the light on the drawer of the DvD/CD turn on for asecond or two? If so the laptop is trying to boot or may have booted, butthe screen is not showing for some reason.

Beep tones and blinking lights tells the technicians what is going on with thelaptop and why it is not booting. Most times it's a motherboard issuewhen you hear beeps or blinking lights continuous.

Maybe your power cord is bad if you don't get anything to happen whatsoeverwhen you press the power button. And if that's true maybe you wasoperating off the battery the last time you had it on and since the power cordis bad, it was not charging the battery so the battery is drained and the powercord is bad.

Maybe you have a Static Charge Buildup. Remove the Power Cord, Remove theBattery, then Press and Hold the power button for 30seconds. After 30 seconds plug the power cord back in (leave the batteryout) and hit the power button to see if it boots. If it does, you can putthe battery back in and let it charge.

Key will turn on lights (power). when pressing the start button nothing happens. no noises, clicks, nothing.

Check any safety switches, specifically the neutral switch.
Also the brake or clutch safeties.

I have an Electrolux EWD1477. I have been away for four months and I'm having problems with it. I set to do the quickwash30 program and press start, you hear the clicks, it might put some water in then...

My EWD1477 was doing this a year ago and I fixed it. Then it started doing it again a month ago and I seem to have cleared it again.

Firstly, remove the drain hose from where it is inserted into a laundry sink hole to make sure it is not blocked or sealed in with sludge.

Secondly, make sure the machine is empty of water and clothes and then turn the machine to off with the Program Selector Dial. Then turn off the power at the socket and remove the power plug and leave for five minutes.

Step 1: put the plug back in and turn the power back on.

Step 2: turn the selector switch to the right (Whites/Intensive). The green light of the Start/Pause button should be flashing and the green lights on for Prewash/wash, Rinses and Spinning. Don't press any other buttons or change any other settings.

Step 3: press the Start/Pause button and wait for the machine to empty any excess water. Press it again immediately after you hear water flowing into the machine OR two audible clicks. The machine is now in pause mode with the green light of the Start/Pause button flashing. Only the green light on the Prewash/Wash button should be on. Leave it in pause mode for 30 minutes and then press the Start/Pause button to recommence the cycle.

Step 4: If the Start/Pause button begins flashing, water stops flowing into the machine and the three green lights mentioned above are back on, turn the Program Selector Dial back to off, wait 10 seconds, and repeat the process above.

Step 5: If when you then turn the Program Selector Dial to Whites/Intensive and hear the two audible clicks, immediately press the Start/Pause button to set the machine in pause mode. Wait 30 minutes. Then press the Start/Pause button to recommence the cycle.

Hopefully the cycle will run without a problem.

How to turn change oil light

iI you mean 'how to turn change oil light off" go to fuse panel. Open drivers door there is a panel cover on the side of dash board, remove cover there is a red RESET button that resets oil pressure and tire pressure. Turn the ignition key to the on position but don't start the car. Now press and release the reset button the change oil light should start to flash, now press and hold the reset button until you hear chimming hold until chimming stops then release, the change oil light should go off. If you need to reset tire pressure press reset button twice, the first push will make the change oil light flash the second press will make the tire pressure light flash then hold untill chimming stops, light should go out .
