SOURCE: cant play games due to "put disc into a xbox 360 console"?

This problem is caused by your disc drive.... A new disc drive bought off of ebay, generally costs about 50 bucks, including the shipping and handling..... You will need to open your xbox to get the model number... yes, it does matter... Once you get the new disc drive... you need to open up the old disc drive... and you will see a memory chip inside and you will need to be VERY careful not to rip any of the parts it is connected to... once you have the chip out... you will need to take the chip out of the new disc drive, and replace it with the chip from your old disc drive... (each xbox 360 has its own unique memory, which can only otherwise be installed by flashing it through a sata computer which much more complicated than it really should be).... once you put the old chip into the new disc drive... put everything back together... for a tutorial on opening an xbox 360 and also fixing disc drive in your 360... i recommend youtube,,, and the person's name i recommend is "fixyourownxbox" These videos are definitely helpful, and saved me mucho dinero $ :D.... Good luck... if you have anymore questions, dont be afraid to ask... i would be more than happy to answer them

SOURCE: HOOKING UP XBOX 360 TO HDTV

You have to use the regular red and white cords(not the yellow) and u have to use all 3 hd cords. If ur tv doesnt have a place to put the cords in, then it isnt HD. Also on the plug connecting to the 360, there is a switch that has HD and regular, switch it to HD. hope this helped.

How do I hook up Xbox 360 to the HDTV

Step 1:

Connect the audio/video input of the component cable into the "A/V" port located on the back of the xbox 360

Step 2:

Match the red, blue and green cables on the other end of the component cable to the corresponding component ports on your HDTV. If your HDTV has more than one set of component inputs, make note of which one you use.

Step 3:

Slide the switch on the component cable to "HDTV."

Step 4:

Turn on your HDTV. Set the video mode to the component port that will be used. HDTVs with multiple component ports will usually be labeled "Component 1," "Component 2" and so on

Step 5:

Turn on the Xbox 360. Go to "My Xbox." Select "System Settings" then "Console Settings" then "Display" and then "HDTV Settings." Choose the display setting (720p, 1080i and 1080p) that is best compatible with your HDTV. If you're not sure, try them all until you find the one that looks best.

Step 6:

Disconnect any previously connected A/V or component cables.

Step 7:

Connect the HDMI AV cable connector to the "HDMI AV" port on the Xbox 360.

Step 8:

Connect the other end to an available HDMI port on your HDTV. If your HDTV has more than one HDMI input, make note of which one you use.

Step 9:

Turn on your HDTV. Set the video mode to the HDMI port that will be used. HDTVs with multiple component ports will usually label them "HDMI 1," "HDMI 2" and so on.

Step 10:

Turn on the Xbox 360. Go to "My Xbox." Select "System Settings" then "Console Settings" then "Display" and then "HDTV Settings." Pick the display setting (720p, 1080i and 1080p) that looks best on your HDTV.

make sure that if you have the hd cords plugged in the switch is on hdtv and if the regular cords are plugged in the switch on the a/v cords says tv. make sure the red cord is in the correct socket. if you are using hdmi cord then it needs replacing. also you may find some sucess by changing the output in the xbox settings.

Got a new xbox 360 and kinect, have to change my tv settings to play the games i have but then get a very different picture with very dull colours

Ah, this happened to me when i got a 360S. You have an old 360, no? And you used the HDTV conmponent? Go to the console settings, and fool around with the display a bit. You'll find what you want. Just make sure you're using the OLD 360 cord or an HDMI cord; the new ones are **** and only designed to work with extremely old TVs.

How do i connect an x box 360 to a HD ready tv please explain simply

Every xbox comes with the HD av cords. However they are not only the standard red, white, and yellow. But they also come with green, blue, and red av cords. These are the HD cords.Your HD tv should have green, blue, and red outlets on the back of the tv. It also has a another red and white outlet under it. So you have to take the HD cords and plug them into the appropriate outlets and then take the red and white cords from the other set of avs and plug them in right under those cords so you will have sound when you turn your xbox on. On my tv the red and white outlet is right under the HD outlet. But your tv may be different. And make sure that the "box" on the cord that reads either TV or HDTV is flicked toward HDTV.

XBOX 360 HMDI connection help

Your console must have the HDMI connection inorder for it to use the HDMI cord. Most newer consoles have the connection. If your only connection looks like a trapazoid and there is no connection under it stating HDMI, then you do not have a console with the HDMI connection.

Dont know where to plug the cables in on my tv

Depending on how old the TV is, you may have to resort to using the composite plugs (red, white, yellow) plugs instead of the HDMI or component plugs as used with newer hdtv's. Your XBOX should have these cords or adapters available within the packaging. Just double check that you have these in the back of your TV.

On your AV cord theres a switch that changes it from HDTV, to TV

Make sure its switched to TV if your not using HDTV, or switched to HDTV if ur using that. If you need pics let me know I can get you some so you can see where the switch is.

If that doesn't resolve it check your cords, make sure the cords match the colors.

How do i connect my 360 to run on HDTV to a bush lcd tv?

HD is a new sort of signal transmitting/receiving technology; therefore, all software and hardware components you have to use must be able to support the relevant technology. (HDMI=High Definition Multimedia Interface)I am not sure if your 360 has an HDMI output, but if it has one, you have to use one of those HDMI cables. As well, the LCD model you mentioned has to be able to support HDMI signals. As I know, scart plugs don't usually support HDMI. Similarly, individual connector cables don't support it either. All you need to have is a digital coax cable.
