Question about Amana AOCS3040SS Electric Single Oven

Concealed oven I bought a new house with this oven and i am not having manual.I tried to bake pasta 2-3 times in my oven.The cheese on the top becomes red in 20 minutes but the pasta on the bottom was not even hot properly as there are no rods at the bottom. Then i read online that it has concealed bake but how to use that ? Can i get manual from anywhere? Thanks Ritu

    I tried to cook a turkey in the SMEG oven, the top was cooking and the bottom not even getting hot, I read somewhere that food should neither be cooked with water in the baking dish, or covered with foil, both of which I did is this correct, and if so why.

Consealed bake means that the bake element on the bottom had a metal plate above it to make it easier to clean and to allow you to use the lower racks without burning the bottom of your food. To use, you want to make sure that the oven temperature that you set has been reached before putting in your food to be cooked. You also should put the racks one notch lower than you normally would. If you do this, you should have no problems with your food cooking unevenly.

How to bake pizza, how much time to keep


Do you have one of those microwaves with the built in broil and bake unit where you would pull the pan out from the top?! If so, I don't know! :o ....but based on my experience in making pizzas, I strongly recommend that you put it on for 5 minutes intervals at about 375 degrees (+/- 25 degrees) and check it until the cheese in the middle is melted. I would NOT recommend putting it directly in the microwave using infrared radiation bc pizza like that tastes really bad. In an oven, put the pizza on for about 15 minutes and check every 3-5 min after that.

When the bake igniter becomes weak or burns out, your oven would not bake. The bake igniter is usually mounted on the oven burner. It's about 1 inch by 4-8 inches (depending on the model), and comes in round or flat styles. If you don't see the igniter glow at all, it's probably burned out. Replace the igniter if found defective. Note: one of the exceptions could be that your oven is set to automatic mode instead of manual. If this is the case, set your oven to manual mode and check again.

If the bake igniter glows red and not bright yellow or white, it is probably because it is too weak. When this happens, the safety valve would not let the gas out into the oven burner. A weak igniter must be replaced.

A faulty igniter is probably the most common cause, however there are others:

-- defective thermostat
-- defective selector switch
-- defective gas safety valve

If you are certain the igniter is ok, it might be a good idea to call a professional appliance technician.

Broiler works, but bake doesn't


make sure oven is set for manual and not time bake if set for manual and oven does not come on check the bake element any appliance parts house can test your element

Can i slow cook in my oven, does it have aslow cook facility i have lost my manual, if it does please explain what to do. thanks


No, there is no slow cook. The bottom oven works as a normal fan assisted oven and the top oven relies on elements concealed in the floor. The top oven takes a long time to warm up.

Actually for the Whirlpool Accubake I just figured out, the bake button didn't work, but holding the broil button did the trick.

Using the ovens


It's not dumb, it's the oven. You simply hit bake, temperature and then bake again. Of course you have to choose whether to bake or convection bake and you choose this when you hit the first and last bake command.
