The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: How do I jail break my iPhone 4S iOS 6.0.1

the only way to jailbreak it right now would be doing it tethered. Otherwise, you could downgrade it to ios 5.1.1, but i'm not sure if its possible on the iphone 4s

How do i jilbrek iphone ?

Just one of the hundreds sites telling how to jail break an iPhone.
You have tethered and untethered, one you alway need a computer if you want to react the phone the other can be rewetted without computer. Onch broken, you need to install a Cydia (like) app store, and there you also have to pay for the apps. Only very smart hackers succeed in getting free apps.
I think you better first read the Wikipedia page about jailbreak, before you start breaking.

Jailbreak: Tethered VS. Untethered

There are two types of Jailbreak used for the iPhone. The first one is the tethered Jailbreak. This means that when the phone goes off or you intentionally turned it off, it will not boot without the help of a computer. You have to run the jailbreak program again for the phone to boot up. It's in a way a hassle for some since sometimes, you can't help it but you really have to switch the phone off.

The other type is the untethered Jailbreak which simply means that you will not have any problem whatsoever when you turn the phone off and restart. There are just some firmware versions wherein we are left with no choice but to have a tethered jailbreak simply because there are no other options available. But right now, almost all versions can use the untethered jailbreak thanks to the advent of new discoveries by the Dev Team.

Is there a small spinning wheel?
Did you do a tethered jail break? Or an untethered? If you had to have it plugged into your computer, the problem is you need to boot it while plugged in. Depending on which program you used, there is a just boot option in it somewhere. Plug your phone in, choose just boot, and follow the on screen instructions. (it's usually in the "extras" options in most programs)
