I have just got a very used camera C-740. I was taking the pictures with it for last two weeks until it suddenly didn't power up yesterday. I tryied three sets of bateries ( what are working in my other camera w/o any problem) but the camera still doesn't want to work. If I connect camera to the external power it works without any issue. ( I am not sure if that is important but when I turn it on with external source there is a baterry indicator on in left upper corner of the LCD screen for few seconds saying the batery are full. What can be an issue? jiri
Battery contaxcts probably- clean the contact inside the chamber and the cover. In side use the eraser on the end of a pencil. Also when switch on -press in the cover - it is possibly a loose contact.
