Hi!

In the tools menu select the OPTION command
Go to the SECURITY tab and
UNCHECK the options who says:
Don't allow to save or open attachments that can contain viruses (something like that my outlook express is in spanish).

Your default email might need to be changed

Open up your new email type in the adress then you should see attachment depending on which email you are using select attachment then you will open up a browse window navigate to your photo/attachment where you have saved it (my pictures) most common select it you might have to wait a few seconds for it to load as an attachment then click send Hope this helps.

Can one only use Outlook Express for email attachment with HP Scan Jet G3110

If Outlook Express is your "preferred Email", when you email a scanned image, it is sent by Outlook Express. The sender's name displayed is the user listed in the Outlook Express (whose User name is used to get into the Outlook Exp).
If anyone else want to send it in their name:
This is what you have to do:
Save the scanned image somewhere in the computer.
Goto your Yahoo mail, or Hotmail or Google mail (create a free account if you don't have your own email account) and send the scan as an attachment. Hope this will work for you.

Can't Open Attachments In Outlook Express

If you cannot open attachments while using the Outlook Express e-mail client, your security settings may be too high. When you try to open attachments, you may see the following message: “OE removed access to the following unsafe attachments in your mail.”

To check your e-mail security settings:

1. Open Outlook Express.
2. Click on Tools in the menu, and scroll down to Options.
3. Click on the Security tab.
4. Make sure “Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus” is UNCHECKED.
5. Click on the Apply button. Click on OK.

You should now be able to open attachments.

Out Look Express

Outlook and Outlook Express are not the same program, and they are not actually even close to using the same programming.

You cannot import Outlook files into Outlook Express. You can import both into Outlook.

Select File->Import and Export, and then choose "Import from another program or file" then choose either PST file for Outlook or Outlook Express. Select the defaults from then on and browse to where you saved the emails. If you saved the emails correctly it should import them.
