Bagless vacuums don't usually get clogged as easily as standard bag styles do. However, if you can disconnect the top half from the brush head section you should see a "neck" where the two meet, check there for a clog. Also check your filters, this is where loss of suction happens most. Dirty filters = Low Suction. I hope this helps

Why is my wet dry vaccum blowing and not sucking?

The clog or the bag or canister is full. Clean or replace filters.
First of all, make sure you put the hose on the suction port. If it's blowing where it should be sucking, the polarity of the motor is backward; the wires are hooked up wrong.

The roller is likely jammed, or there is debris around the belt area

Not sucking, smoking

Hi If its smoking the belt needs replaced. Check the top of the hood for two or three crosshead screws; two at the front and one under neath the duster part. The belt may be on its way out.
Also if its not sucking anything up, it may well be clogged. Check the drive belt area where the main dust channel is, top and bottom hose too.
Also make sure than the filters in the bin/pleated cones are completely clear of dust. If washing make sure the filters are completely dry before putting them back in.

take out screws on bottom and see if tension bar can be tightened, make sure the right belt is in there, also if belt looks worn or gouged replace with a new belt

My bissell bagless vac has no vaccum. ihave

You will have to clean the filter and clean the main motor.  I had this issue on mine and the main motor was so full of dust bunnies, that it stopped it from creating a vacuum.

Vacuum

I just discovered that if you remove the dust cup, lay the vaccum back, reach up inside above the dust cup area, there is a yellow piece that can be removed (twist it and it comes out.) I found that there were GOBS of lint and pet hair stuck inside there. We removed all of that and the vacuum works great again!

Vaccum has no suction

Here is what we did to fix the problem of our vacuum having no suction.
We unscrewed the three screws on the back and took the hose off of the vacuum.  Then we took the hose outside and put the water hose through the vacuum hose and turned on the water.  After about 30 second the water pushed through a dust bunny the size of a fist and a marker.  Basically, the vacuum did not have suction because the hose was clogged with dust, etc.  After reassembling the vacuum, it worked just fine.

Vaccum has no suction

Need a new belt -- you might have suction but you need the brush to spin (hard to help without make or model, upright or canister)

Be sure when you put the dirtant dust container in place that it is in properly. I have had this and believe it or not this container has enough room to fit without it seating properly. Take the dust container out and reseat it making sure the bottom is secure and then turn the lock lever in place. Try it again. What happens is you get an air gap which allows some air to flow but the vacum does not function properly.
