SOURCE: JVC mini Dv GR-D720E has small squares on playback

Indeed it seems that there was a really stubborn bit of dirt on the heads. I had to use the cleaning tape several times to ultimately have a clear picture on record and playback.
thanks again ,but successive cleaning can help for an effective cleaning of the tape path and heads.

FIND THE CODE TO GET RID OF THE WORD PROTECT ON MY JVC RECEIVER

Protect is displayed because there's a problem with your speaker wiring or there's a speaker shorted out. It's not there to tick you off for some reason.

So, you don't need a code. What you need to do is go sort out your wiring because somewhere there's two cables touching and the amp is trying to save itself from blowing up because you wired something wrong.

Playback problem EP

Do you have a tracking control on the
vcr if you do it should be centered during
record It can be adjusted during playback
to clear up the picture adjust it for the best
picture

If you dont have a tracking control on the
vcr then it may require a mechanical adjustment
of the backtension or guidepost which requires
special tools to perform

Can't get rid of the screen images for video camera on playback

Hi
If it's like my Canon MVX25i date and time marking then go to the menu, select display setup (or whatever it's called on your camera) somewhere there should be a dialogue which allows you to switch the pesky thing off. I have never used date or time, a very amateurish concept in the first place.

I can't keep writeing out of recordings and during playback.

Set the M, A, Off, and Play switch to M with a loaded tape. DO NOT touch the Refresh button. Press the Vol switch down one time, this will get you a Top Menu Page on the display screen. Use the Vol wheel to move about in this Menu page. Press the Vol switch again will let you into the different settings.

Poor EP playback

hi sir
the speed in EP is differ from sp ,EP it is much slow then all quality would be less cause you are using less magnetic particles on the tape so here are many reasons for bad recording
first may be you have to clean video heads
or ,you have to clean the path of the tape in the recorder there are some metal guides that turnes with the tape to get it rounds the heads they may be dirty
or clean the capstain pinch roller and its metal roller that makes it run ( the capstain roller )
or you should have new heasd drum sir
regards
