Unplug your power adapter, and takeout the battery. then old the power on button down fo 10 seconds to release any power in the system. then plug in the AC power/Charger ONLY and power on the system. if that dosnt work, repeat and only ut in the battery and power on .
This is assuming your power/charger is working( usualy has a green light glowing the main box) and that you have juice in your battery
You also may have damaged the power jack: I repair them for 119.99

Advent laptop not turning on

with this problem you have to take the battery and charger lead out of the computer, then press and hold the on/off button for 20seconds obviously this wont turn on because the battery is out so after this place the battery and charger back in then turn it on as usual this should work.

Shows pluggged in not charging

Not much info to work with. What shows plugged in? What give you the idea it's not charging? Bad Battery? Bad Charger? A bit vague.

My battery never worked so i used my charger to keep my window vista 32-bit computer alive but now the charger wont work it just flashed n turned off what does this mean..??

Find an electric/electronic geek-friend with a voltage/amperage multi-meter, and get him/her to test the output of the charger, i.e., 6V to 19V, 1A to 3A,
to see if the "actual" output matches the "rated" output printed on the charger's label.
If not, your charger needs to be replaced.
If it's OK, then take your computer to a qualified technician, for trouble-shooting why the power isn't reaching the "guts" of the computer.

Not charging

No, there is nothing wrong with your charger. Its a voltage irregularity problem. Once it happens next time, remove the charger, remove the battery, put the battery back and try again.

I use HP 530, and I experience the same problem once in while but not every time.

Good luck.

Acer aspire 3500 wont hold charge or turn on

I had to buy an new ac/dc plug piece off of ebay (cost only like $3 bucks) to sodder onto the mother board of my Acer. Somehow the little plastic/metal piece you plug into your computer comes off the mother board really easy. Acer wanted me to purchase a whole new mother board (at frigging $350), which, frankly wasn't an option. So I bought the little plug gizmo, soddered it on, and I'm doing good now.
