Question about Toshiba Tecra M4 Notebook
In the last day or so I've noticed that the built-in display on my Toshiba Tecra M4 tablet laptop is acting strangely: areas that should be a certain shade of (near-)black or deep blue appear as red... and it doesn't appear to be uniform everywhere in the display. Note that this problem doesn't occur with the external monitor I have hooked up via the video port, so the video card is probably fine. I've seen a few mentions of this problem on the web, with some people claiming that it's a screen connection/continuity problem, and others believe it's a motherboard issue. Anything I should try before calling up Toshiba for a repair?
Nope there is nothing you can do. A reddish cast to the screen is a common indication that the backlight that illuminates the screen is going south.
