What problem are you having that makes you think it's a belt?

Belts are normally accessed from the backside of the appliance. There will be an access panel that can be removed.

Follow all labeled warnings when working on an appliance.

The belt changing is fairly the same across all brands and models, The issue come down to your model number and how to access the belt via panel removals. Can you provide the model number? (Hope you've repaired it by now)

Maytag gas dryer broken tumber belt. how do i replace it myself? the tumbler doesn't turn, the belt thah goes around it is broken. i need to put a new belt on.

Each dryer is made differently on how to access the drum (tumbler) and belt replacement. If you can provide a model #, that would be very helpful. On most dryers the model# is located on the door frame usually to the left when you open the door. This will get you started in the right direction.

Replace dryer belt

Pull the front panel off, remove the top screws and tilt top back. Rout the new belt around drum at the old wear spot with the grooved side against the drum. Next remove the back access door and rout the belt around the idler pulley and motor pulley. There is only one way to do this and get proper tension on the belt.
Also, when you order the belt, ask if it has a belt routing diagram on the belt package.
