My Hp Officejet 6300 All-In-One printer will not copy

I have made several attmpts to copy a document by plaing it on the window and pressing copy with no success. The printer freezes with only one bar flasing saying it is copying.

Printer is offline yet cables are connected and printer was working a day or so ago!

Hello sir; when you want to copy from computor you have to hit print, not copy, copy only use on the machine itself not from computor. hope, my answer will help you.

A printer would produce print outs of documents in versions known as hardcopies(paper). However, multifucntion devices usually would have an area on the printer that allows to feed in an aready printered document to be reproduced several times into several hardcopies(paper copies). Unless that, the printer has multifunction capabilities, in which instance would be in writing specified as capable of performing printing, copying and several feature functions, it would be unlikely to perform copies from an already existing document.

Have you cleaned the small, narrow glass window leftmost of the platen? It is directly above the scanning bar's "home" position, and that's where the document is scanned, while it's fed by the feeder, passing over the bar (the paper moves, as oposed to platen scanning, when the bar is moving and document remains still).

How do I copy a document on a lexmark x 1185 printer scanner copier


Turn the documents printed page away from you. (Document facing you, turn it around so that the print is on the backside)

Insert it in the top paper feed tray. Align the left side of the document page, with the alignment bar on the left side of the top paper feed tray. (Put the left side of the paper against the plastic bar on the left side of the paper tray)

Computer running, Windows loaded. Go to Start>Hover your mouse cursor on All Programs>Lexmark>Lexmark Printer

Click on the Copy function, and go to the Properties window to set how many copies you want, (Default setting is 1), what size paper you're using, and so on.

Normal 0 I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer. The reason for this, is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs.

Epson RX580


I had the same problem after I turned off my printer and turned it on the following day. I tried several reboots but to no avail. I turned it off. Then on again. Then I pressed the copy button as it was loading up. The copy window comes up. Copy something and that's it. You can now print. I think its just stuck in some mode and needs help to get out.

The issue that you are experiencing is due to spooler service which is not running or might be due to communication between the computer and the printer.

If the issue perstis refresh the USB composite devices to get the issue resolved.

Right-click My Computer (in Windows XP, click Start first), and then click Properties.

Select the Hardware tab and then click Device Manager.

Click the Plus (+) sign next to Universal Serial Bus Controllers.

Click the USB Composite Device entry to highlight it, and then click Action and then click Uninstall. If a screen appears to confirm the deletion, confirm the deletion.

Also check for USB Printing Support entry to highlight it, and then click Action and then click Uninstall. If a screen appears to confirm the deletion, confirm the deletion.

Disconnect the USB cable to the all-in-one, wait a couple seconds, and then reconnect the cable. This should restart Windows device detection (Plug and Play).

A New Hardware found screen may appear, click Next through all of the screens that appear for the Wizard to install the USB Composite Device. Click Finish once the wizard completes.
This should resolve the issue that you are experiencing with.
