SOURCE: Canon mx700 rejecting remanufactured ink cartridges

big issue with remanufacturing is how integritous is the fit of the cartridge, and also the interface. When these are re cut, so to speak, tolerances can stack up, and one thing about Canon, is they are a stickler for tolerances. You may have an issue with the cartridge fitting in the carriage, but not interfacing with the system. Happens sometimes..

got backup?

SOURCE: Canon MX700 printer ink lamp fast blinking

1) Insert both ink cartridges and then check the ink levels that way it will tell you if there is something wrong with them.
2) Make sure you buy 1 colour ink and the other black and insert them into the correct slots.
3) Contact your printers manufacturer by going on there website. They may have a live chat.
4) Try this link: http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=SupportDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=238&modelid=15651

Yellow light keeps flashing underneath triangle- Error code 6480. Please advise what this means? many thanks

There is a thin (1/4"wide) plastic strip running across the width in front of and below the drive belt. This is part of the optical encoder that tells the print-head where it is. If you look closely, there are fine black vertical lines on this strip. If the strip gets a piece of crud on it, you get an error during the start-up sequence. Gently clean this strip with a damp lint-free tissue. This also will fix a gap in the printing running lengthwise (not across the page like a clogged head).

I have a Canon MP550 and after pressing ON button in few seconfs appeares message: ERROR CODE 6A80

[6A80] & Light Blinking 12 times = APP Position Error. An error occurred in the APP motor. Maybe foreign material or paper debris around the PURGE UNIT (at the printer most right hand side) or Auto Sheet Feed area.

What does 6A60 error message indicate and how do I resolve on my Canon MX700 all in one machine.

6A60 error is an APP (Application Printer) position error. It means that an error has occurred when the motor was running during the purging operation on start up.Check the sheet feeder and purge unit.Sometimes pieces of paper stuck in purge unit.

    Thank you!

When I start my canon pixma MX 700 series I gets error code 5100

First of all, make sure you pay attention to when your warranty expires, because this error tends to repeat and you get disgusted and request warranty support only too late. The problem is probably caused by a sticky paper sensor, but the printer must be turned off and turned back on to reset. If it persists in displaying the error, then you should lift open the main part (scanner) look carefully in the back right for the black plastic piece that is the paper sensor and poke it with a narrow scissors or something to nudge it back down. Then turn it back on and hopefully it clears the error. However, if that's the problem then it will likely recur.
